2.0 SCOPE AND MONITORING LOCATIONS The schedule, duration and parameters which are monitored are given below.

2.1 Air Monitoring:

Air quality levels were monitored and carried out for significant parameters

like, PM10, PM2.5, SO2, NOX & CO as per the methods prescribed by Central Pollution Control Board. Frequency of sampling and methodology adopted is detailed below

2.1.1 Duration period & Frequency of Sampling

Duration period & frequency of sampling adopted was mentioned below. Details of the same are given below: Period : October 2012 –March 2013 Duration : 2 days in a Week for 4 weeks only.

The existing Ambient Air Quality status (AAQ) has been monitored for PM10,

PM2.5, SO2, NOX & CO. Pre-calibrated Respirable dust samplers have been used for the monitoring of the existing AAQ status.

Methodologies adopted for sampling and analysis were, as per the approved Methods of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) & Indian Standard (IS) 5182. The locations of ambient air quality monitoring stations in and around the mines are given in Fig-4 and Table -2.1
