You will have the opportu- nity to speak with representatives from over 300 colleges, career schools, military services. This personal con- tact gives you a unique opportunity to acquire first-hand information about an institution and its programs that may not appear in catalogs, brochures or on the Internet. Each year, students learn a wide range of informa- tion about schools and colleges that would be unknown to them had they not attended this program. The information you gather at the EXPO will assist you and your school counselor in making your post- high school plans. Be sure to meet with your counselor in a timely fashion to begin this exciting process! Remember: A well-planned visit is a productive visit. Reviewing this booklet will be very helpful. We hope that you find today's event both informative and enjoyable. The Spring College EXPO is designed to help you as you begin your journey toward college and post-secondary planning – one that will help you attain your educational and co-curricular goals in preparation for a career. The representatives who are here today represent a vast cross-section of colleges, universities, career schools and military organizations throughout the United States. They are eager to meet you and to answer all of your questions. They can provide you with information that will assist you in your search. This is an important opportunity for you and your family to ask questions and receive the most pertinent and current information about the colleges and universities that you are considering. We are very pleased with the large and diverse turnout of institutions represented at the EXPO and we thank them for their enthusiasm and attendance. I want to also thank committee chairs Sunil Samuel and Jaclyn Forman for the long hours they dedicated to planning this event. A thank you is also in order for the EXPO committee members and volunteer coordinator, Donna Orleman, as well as all the NCA volunteers that help make this great event possible. NCA is an organization of approximately 500 professionals, representing a variety of counseling fields dedicated to serving the students of Nassau County by bringing you wonderful programs such as this one.
