The track gets black with the more rubber down on it making the truck tighter so we anticipate for that in our set up. I don’t know if the softer right side tire should have an overall effect on the grip. It may play into a different pit strategy of pitting twice if the tires wear out. We might have to make two pit stops for tires instead of the usual one and done.” Miccosukee Resort & Gaming will serve as the primary sponsor with Graceway Pharmaceuticals; LLC headquartered in Bristol, TN will serve as the associate sponsor on the No. 51 Billy Ballew Motorsports Tundra. • Charlotte, N.C. (January 21, 2015)
Dalton Sargeant Opens 2015 Season with Pete Orr Memorial 100 at New Smyrna Speedway Charlotte, N.C. (January 21, 2015) - Dalton Sargeant will begin his 2015 season with the Pete Orr Memorial 100 at New Smyrna Speedway, one of the premier facilities in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Sargeant, who will be climbing aboard the No. 5s Five Star Race Car Bodies Wauters Motorsports machine on Saturday, January 24 and will make his first start since he finished in the second position in the 47th running of the Snowball Derby last December. In preparation for a full NASCAR K&N Pro Series East schedule with HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks, Sargeant will be making his first career start at New Smyrna Speedway, which will host the first round of the prestigious NASCAR HomeTracks series on February 15. Sargeant also calls New Smyrna Speedway his hometown track, although he has never competed on the fast, 1/2 mile high banked facility located a mere three hours from his hometown in Boca Raton, Florida. Although there will be many firsts for Sargeant in this weekend's event, he will have a few familiar faces at New Smyrna Speedway. The No. 5s will have veteran NASCAR crew chief and owner Richie Wauters calling the shots, just as he did in 2014 with Sargeant's previous seven career super late model starts. This will also be the second ever start for the No. 5s, as the only other previous start for the Van Doorn Racing Development chassis was in the Snowball Derby last December.

  • Tim George Jr. and Wauters Motorsports Team up with Grand Touring Vodka (GTV) for a Sweet Deal at Daytona George to Drive the GTV No
Tim George Jr. and Wauters Motorsports Team Up With Grand Touring Vodka (GTV) for a Sweet Deal at Daytona George to drive the GTV No. 5 Ford powered by Applebee’s For immediate release: Daytona Beach, FL (February 20, 2013) - With only three weeks to go before the start of the 2013 NASCAR season, team owner Richie Wauters and driver Tim George Jr. were both looking around for a dance partner for the NEXTERA Energy Resources 250, the opening round of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on Friday, February 22. Wauters, whose long resume includes stints as crew chief for Kyle Busch and Aric Almirola, was looking for a driver who could take his No. 5 Ford to the front of the field on the high banks of Daytona International Speedway. George was looking for a ride that could get him there as well. Enter former NASCAR driver and past Daytona winner (1985 Firecracker 400) Greg Sacks who brought along his red-hot Grand Touring Vodka (GTV) brand and business partner – music mogul Bryan “Birdman” Williams. The stage was set for a victory lane party. “To have a partnership with Greg Sacks is sweet,” said Wauters. “Greg is one of the best superspeedway drivers of all time. He suggested we put Tim in the truck. We’ll have a great Ford ready for Tim and our plan is to score big with the GTV Ford powered by Applebee’s.” For Sacks, it will be a return to familiar surroundings. “Daytona has always been a special place for me,” said Sacks, whose last outing as a driver was in 2010 when he drove the No.
