Sieg was last in the Billy Ballew Motorsports NASCAR concrete speedway Craftsman Truck in Memphis, where he had a career best finish of ninth. Although, 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship leader, Kyle Broadcast schedule Busch was slated to be in the Miccosukee Resort/NOS Energy Drink at ORP Race broadcast on SPEED Sieg was on hand in case of inclement weather. Saturday, August 9, at “We had such a great run in Memphis that it was hard to set back and 6:00pm CT (7pm ET) watch at ORP,” Sieg said. “Kyle (Busch) is just a great driver and it was Live radio coverage begins at important for me to learn from him on the handling of the truck. Richie 6:15pm CT on MRN & Sirius (Wauters) and I work well together and I have learned a lot from him not Satellite Radio being in the seat. I am ready to put that education to use and finish upfront this weekend in Nashville.” Continued on back… Page II… Sieg has one start in 2004 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Billy Ballew Motorsports has five starts at the 1.5-mile concrete speedway. Ballew’s best finish was 11th posted by Shane Hmiel in 2004. Nashville is known as a track that can be difficult to master but a fan favorite for the great racing. The 1.5 -mile concrete track has been known to be challenging to the most veteran of drivers in the Craftsman Truck Series. “The concrete can be real tough on tires,” Sieg said. “Grip is often more important than speed. This concrete track doesn’t give a lot of grip, it is pretty bumpy. I know though that Richie (Wauters) and this Miccosukee Resort team have put together a fast Toyota Tundra for us this weekend. I would love to have a top-5 finish or maybe even a win.” Drivers look forward to victory lane at the Nashville Superspeedway to receive a win trophy like no other. The winner receives a Gibson Guitar hand painted by Sam Bass. Seventeen year-old Chris Jackson, a friend of truck chief, on the No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Tundra , J.R. Norris, was recently paralyzed in an accident. A special decal will adorn the No. 15 truck this weekend. The decal reads “Chris Jackson, In Our Prayers” as a reminder that he is in the hearts of everyone on the Billy Ballew Motorsports race team. # # # # 2008 No. 51 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race by Race Statistics: Site St Fin Laps Status Driver Led Daytona 21 2 100/100 Running Kyle Busch California 20 1 100/100 Running 51 Atlanta 3 1 130/130 Running 39 Martinsville 11 26 253/253 Running 32 Kansas 16 18 167/167 Running Shane Sieg Lowes 1 8 138/138 Running Kyle Busch 86 Mansfield 11 21 250/250 Running Shane Sieg Dover 3 27 183/200 Running Kyle Busch 96 Texas * 17 2 172/172 Running Kyle Busch Michigan 6 7 100/100 Running Kyle Busch 0 Milwaukee 19 12 200/200 Running Mike Bliss Memphis 8 9 204/204 Running Shane Sieg Kentucky 2 6 150/150 Running Kyle Busch 43 ORP 10 8 200/200 Running Kyle Busch Totals 11.3 11.4 2347/2364 0 DNF 3 Drivers 347 *35th last place start, missed practice & qualifying 99.3% About Shane Sieg 2008 No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports NCTS Race by Race Statistics: Name: Rodney Shane Sieg Site ST FIN Laps Status Driver Led Residence: Tucker, GA Daytona 25 13 100/100 Running Marc Mitchell Birth Place: Atlanta, Ga California 29 20 99/100 Running Atlanta 29 23 128/130 Running Birth Date: August 23, 1982 Martinsville 2 21 253/253 Running Denny Hamlin Weight: 140 lbs. ` Kansas 5 31 72/167 Accident Marc Mitchell Lowes 11 24 136/138 Running Marc Mitchell Height: 5’6” Mansfield 8 26 250/250 Running Marc Mitchell Age started racing: 8 Dover 19 14 200/200 Running Shane Sieg Favorite track: Texas Texas I 23 12 172/172 Running Marc Mitchell Motor Speedway Michigan 12 22 100/100 Running Best racing experience: Milwaukee 9 15 199/200 Running 2 Ninth at Memphis in 2008 Memphis 25 31 194/204 Accident Kentucky 6 9 150/150 Running NASCAR Craftsman Truck ORP 19 25 198/200 Running Series race. • Charlotte, N.C. (January 21, 2015)
Dalton Sargeant Opens 2015 Season with Pete Orr Memorial 100 at New Smyrna Speedway Charlotte, N.C. (January 21, 2015) - Dalton Sargeant will begin his 2015 season with the Pete Orr Memorial 100 at New Smyrna Speedway, one of the premier facilities in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Sargeant, who will be climbing aboard the No. 5s Five Star Race Car Bodies Wauters Motorsports machine on Saturday, January 24 and will make his first start since he finished in the second position in the 47th running of the Snowball Derby last December. In preparation for a full NASCAR K&N Pro Series East schedule with HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks, Sargeant will be making his first career start at New Smyrna Speedway, which will host the first round of the prestigious NASCAR HomeTracks series on February 15. Sargeant also calls New Smyrna Speedway his hometown track, although he has never competed on the fast, 1/2 mile high banked facility located a mere three hours from his hometown in Boca Raton, Florida. Although there will be many firsts for Sargeant in this weekend's event, he will have a few familiar faces at New Smyrna Speedway. The No. 5s will have veteran NASCAR crew chief and owner Richie Wauters calling the shots, just as he did in 2014 with Sargeant's previous seven career super late model starts. This will also be the second ever start for the No. 5s, as the only other previous start for the Van Doorn Racing Development chassis was in the Snowball Derby last December.
