Granite( Building Stone) Quarry of Muhammed Ibrahim, at Melmuri Village, Ernad Taluk, Malappuram District – Extent 2.0600 Ha Granite( Building Stone) Quarry of Muhammed Ibrahim, at Melmuri Village, Ernad Taluk, Malappuram District – Extent 2.0600 Ha PRE-FEASIBILTY REPORT 1.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE MINING ACTIVITY Muhammed Ibrahim is proposing a Granite (Building Stone) Quarry with Lease at Re-Survey No. Q02-1065/pt of Melmuri Village, Ernad Taluk, Malappuram District, Kerala in an extent area of 2.0600 hectares. The proposed quarry area is privately owned rocky land. This is an operational quarry with Quarrying permit. In most parts of the quarry lease area the rock are exposed and also the granite (building stone) exposures are present / bordering to the lease boundary proving the occurrence of the G ranite (Building Stone). The proposed quarry area is located at Myladi, 7 km from Malappuram and 3 km from Melmuri. Part of the proposed land is already under mining and there is no vegetation in that area. The remaining land in the proposed land is mostly covered with native trees, shrubs, herbs, grass, climbers, bushes etc. The highest elevation of the lease area is 80 m MSL and lowest is 50 m MSL. As the proposed area is hill rock, the drainage of the lease area is towards North direction. No habitants are located in the lease area. Old pits in the lease area are marked on surface plan. The geological resources of Granite (Building S tone) in mining lease area are estimated to be 1271214 MT. In the first five years of plan period total 3, 00,000 MT Granite (Building Stone) shall be quarried/mined. The balance mineral reserves and part of blocked resources shall be quarried after modifying the bench design in next five year period . Kerala experiences rainfall in duration of 3 to 4 months in a year and that is why the quarry operations will be affected by these rainy days. The anti cipated life of the quarry is 12 years expected. Granite( Building Stone) Quarry of Muhammed Ibrahim, at Melmuri Village, Ernad Taluk, Malappuram District – Extent 2.0600 Ha 1.1 LOCATION OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT The proposed quarry area is located at Myladi, 7 km from Malappuram and 3 km from Melmuri. The geographical location with respect to boundary pillars of the proposed mine lease are:- Latitude (N) N11°5'6.29" to N11°5'11.60" Longitude (E) E76°3'18.25" to E76°3'25.27" The route map and vicinity map showing location of the lease area is given below:- Granite( Building Stone) Quarry of Muhammed Ibrahim, at Melmuri Village, Ernad Taluk, Malappuram District – Extent 2.0600 Ha The Google map showing location of the lease area is given below: - Figure 1.3 Google Map with Site Superimposing 1.2PROJECT PROPONENT INFORMATION Name and Muhammed Ibrahim address of the : Applicant Palakkan House, Pookkottur P.O, Pookkottur Village, Ernad Taluk, Malappuram District, Kerala. In construction activities these are being used because of its hardness & density, durability and strength craft. The proposed mining project will accomplish its requirement for the construction of buildings, bridges, paving, monuments and many other exterior projects. Polished slabs and tiles are usually used in countertops, flooring, retaining walls and landscaping around a center fountain/ pond, staircase and many other design elements (residential and commercial applications). It is also known as the maintenance-free stone. The employment opportunities are being created in connection with the quarrying activities and the local people are being employed for the non technical activities under the direction of mining engineers and supervisors. For the quarry operations, more than 15 employees are being deployed which generates ample opportunities for those people directly and indirectly. Applicant will pay royalty for the mineral produced from the mine, direct and indirect taxes will be paid thereby contributing to the regional revenue. The public revenue will further be put for infrastructural development and other sectors like health, education and social welfare. 1.4 END USE (DOMESTIC/ EXPORT MARKET) The rock extracted from the quarry is transported to the crusher unit (Rox Silicon Pvt Ltd) which is 179.3m from the lease area . The aggregate produced is sold to the contractors and to the consumers which is finally consumed for road (State Highway & National Highway) & building construction works. Fine Material is also sold for the utilization of the hollow block/solid block manufacturing. Since, it is here argued, this challenge to British rule was a consequence of the impact of that power on social relations in rural Malabar starting with the earliest period of British control of the area, the genesis of the rising is traced from the cession of Malabar to the East India Company in 1792. Chapter 1 constitutes an investigation both of social relations in rural Malabar under the impact of British rule and of the limits of Moplah response under conditions in which rebellion was impracticable.

Introduction This booklet provides examples of recognition of University of Cambridge International Examinations qualifications in universities and colleges in India. Cambridge International A and AS Levels, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge O levels have long been recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and this information is published in the ‘Equivalence of Foreign degrees’ published by the AIU. Universities and colleges in India are autonomous but in general follow the recommendations of the AIU. The examples are arranged alphabetically. All recognition is entered into our recognitions database by going to http://www.cie.org.uk/qualifications/recognition. You can search the database by qualification and by country and get the most up-to-date information available. If universities or colleges would like to be included they should complete the online form at the link above or send an email to [email protected] The number of recognition statements from Indian universities and colleges is growing rapidly and this booklet will be updated on a regular basis.
