This area of land is hereon referred to as the ‘site’ and is shown in Figure 1. The local and wider context around the site, as identified in Figure 1, is referred to as the ‘Study Area.’ 1.3 The site comprises agricultural land that lies between the urban area of Tamworth to the west and the M42 Motorway to the east. -

Executive Summary The Amington area has over the past 60 years developed from a small village surrounded by farming land to a densely populated housing development to address the Birmingham overspill. The types of housing can be categorised into two areas, private housing and social housing . In 2003 Locality Working was piloted in Amington before it rolling out in the other 3 areas (Belgrave, Glascote and Stonydelph) in 2009 which have been selected due to its high levels of multiple deprivations. -
