UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE - 2013/14 SEASON MATCH PRESS KITS Borås Arena - Boras Thursday 28 November 2013 21.05CET (21.05 local time) IF Elfsborg Group C - Matchday 5 FC Salzburg Last updated 28/11/2013 20:21CET Match background 2 Legend 3 1 IF Elfsborg - FC Salzburg Thursday 28 November 2013 - 21.05CET, (21.05 local time) Match press kit Borås Arena, Boras Match background IF Elfsborg are already out of contention for a UEFA Europa League round of 32 place, but will look for a morale boost with Group C leaders FC Salzburg set to be their last European visitors this season. • Salzburg and Esbjerg fB confirmed they will finish in the top spots in Group C on matchday four, but Salzburg can be sure of ending up top – and playing the second leg of their round of 32 tie at home – if they get a better result in Boras than Esbjerg manage at home to R. Standard de Liège. Previous meetings • Alan made the breakthrough on 36 minutes when the sides met for the first time on matchday one, but Jonatan Soriano stole the show with a 35-minute hat-trick in a 4-0 win for Salzburg – the fourth fastest treble in the competition. Steven Gerrard's 13-minute hat-trick for Liverpool FC against SSC Napoli in November 2010 remains the quickest. • That encounter was Elfsborg's first meeting with Austrian opposition and Salzburg's first encounter with a Swedish side. • This will be the 19th game between men's clubs from Austria and Sweden in UEFA competition; Austrian teams have had marginally the better of the previous 18, with the record W9 D3 L6.

Keywords Co-design, Design process, Cultural heritage, Football, Inspiration, Teenagers Abstract The paper introduces the reader to a co-design project that intermediary Danish cultural heritage to a target group. In collaboration with the selected target group this paper will introduce the reader to co-design methods conducted during our design process to fulfill the target of this project; inspire teenage footballers by introducing them to cultural heritage. To introduce the target group to the case we did a controlled observation with film-viewing of a documentary. Afterwards we conducted a focus group interview with photo elicitation consisting of highlights from the shown footage to make the target group consider and select points of interest. To gain an understanding of the future use of our project idea we made the target group set the stage and enact scenarios during a drama and theater session, which was inspired by the photo elicitation material and our findings of insights from the focus group interview. The goal of our case is to introduce cultural heritage to Danish teenage football players and inspire them to adopt it to their football activities. 1 Table of contents Introduction .............................................................................................................................................. 3 Co-design ................................................................................................................................................... 4 Case description ......................................................................................................................................

  • CSR in Swedish Football
CSR in Swedish football A multiple case study of four clubs in Allsvenskan By: Lina Nilsson 2018-10-09 Supervisors: Marcus Box, Lars Vigerland and Erik Borg Södertörn University | School of Social Sciences Master Thesis 30 Credits Business Administration | Spring term 2018 ABSTRACT The question of companies’ social responsibility taking, called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), has been widely debated in research since the 1900s. However, the research connecting CSR to sport was not started until the beginning of the 2000s, meaning that there are still many gaps in sport research that has to be filled. One such gap is research on CSR in a Swedish football context. Accordingly, the purpose of the study was firstly to examine how and why Swedish football clubs – organised as non-profit associations or sports corporations – work with CSR, and secondly whether or not there was a difference in the CSR work of the two organisational forms. A multiple case study of four clubs in Allsvenskan was carried out, examining the CSR work – meaning the CSR concept and activities, the motives for engaging in CSR and the role of the stakeholders – in detail. In addition, the CSR actions of all clubs of Allsvenskan were briefly investigated. The findings of the study showed that the four clubs of the multiple case study had focused their CSR concepts in different directions and performed different activities. As a consequence, they had developed different competences and competitive advantages. Furthermore, the findings suggested that the motives for engaging in CSR were a social agenda, pressure from stakeholders and financial motives.

  • 1895-1970 – Non League 1970-1978 – Loi B Years
History Friday, 01 January 2010 00:00 1895-1970 – Non league In 1895, the Catholic University Medical School Cecilia Street Football Club was founded, entering a team in the inaugural Leinster Junior League. The team's first match was against Bohemians B in October of 1895 and ended in a 2-0 defeat. November 1895 also saw the first match against Trinity with a result of 2-0 to Cathlolic University. 1898 Catholic University qualified for the Leinster Senior Cup for the first time - and we reached the semi-final. In 1908, the Catholic University merged with University College Dublin, and the team changed name with the merger. Things weren't quite settled yet, though, as we went through a series of grounds - in Sandymount, Cowper Road, Croydon Park, Fairview and Terenure before moving to Belfield Park in 1935 and now the UCD Bowl in 2008. In the meantime, though, success had been regular. In 1914, we won the inaugural Collingwood Cup - the Irish collegiate championships. The next year, UCD won the IFA Intermediate Cup, beating Portadown 2-1 in a replay in Dalymount Park. The first match had seen UCD draw in Windsor Park on St Patrick's Day. The competition was the 'IFA' Cup because in those days before independence, the IFA governed football over the whole island, and the competition involved teams from the whole island. The Intermediate Cup was one step below the Senior Cup in importance, so it was certainly of some significance. UCD were also involved in the first ever FAI Senior Cup in 1921, when they took on a non-league side at the time, Shamrock Rovers, in Windy Arbour, losing 6-2.

  • FC Barcelona V Arsenal FC MATCH PRESS KIT Stade De France, Paris Wednesday, 17 May 2006 - 20:45 CET Final - Matchday 13
FC Barcelona v Arsenal FC MATCH PRESS KIT Stade de France, Paris Wednesday, 17 May 2006 - 20:45 CET Final - Matchday 13 So after 124 matches in the competition proper and 246 days, it has come down to FC Barcelona v Arsenal FC, the team that scored the most goals in the group stage against the most defensively-efficient team in their first six games. Few could argue that the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League has failed to produce the dream final most neutrals would have wished for. Appropriate venue • The setting, the Stade de France in Paris, is entirely appropriate. From north-east Spain comes a side blessed with an array of sublime talents but with one outstanding shining light – Ronaldinho, who previously played his football for Paris Saint-Germain FC. Challenging them from north London arrives a team boasting a French manager, bidding to become the first from his country to coach a team to European Champion Clubs' Cup glory, and a strong French influence including their captain and talisman, Thierry Henry, who was born on the outskirts of Paris. • Neither side has tasted defeat in their 12 matches in this season's campaign and both needed just one goal to make it through the semi-finals. Fifth final • For Barcelona this is their fifth European Cup final and they will be bidding to match their success in 1991/92 at Wembley Stadium - which Arsenal used for home matches in the 1998/99 and 1999/00 UEFA Champions League seasons - when they beat UC Sampdoria through Ronald Koeman's free-kick.
