My name is Meianee Thomas, and I am the President ofthe Students' Union for 2002-2003 I am so excited to see students back on campus! My door is always open, so if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to stop by!

Just a bit about myself... I'm a fourth year political science student at the University of Lethbridge I love studying political science, and I plan on attending graduate school. My older brother is also a student here at the UofL. We grew up on a farm near Granum, Alberta.

I'm active outside the University and the Students' Union. I love snowboarding, and try to get out to the hill as many times as I can. I also love hiking, scrambling, and camping in obscure places in the Rockies. I enjoy playing piano, going to the rock show, and playing football and tennis. As your president, I have several responsibilities to ensure that the students here at the UofL are represented properly where they need a voice.

Hello everyone, my name is Trish Jackson. I am your Students' Union Vice President Internal Affairs for the 2002/2003 academic year. My main areas of responsibility are SU clubs, events, and the Constitution, Bylaws and Policies. This is my sixth year at the U of L. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree with majors in Religious Studies and Psychology. I am very interested in the field of animal behavior, and I would like to do field research when I finish my post-secondary education. I finished high school in the town of Ponoka, Alberta, which is about an hour south of Edmonton. Prior to living in Ponoka, my family spent time in several small towns and cities in both Alberta and Ontario. My father is a United Church Minister, and my mother is an administrative assistant in the Alberta Northwest Conference office. I have two younger brothers, Tim and Chris. Tim is an auto-mechanic, and Chris is attending his first year of University here at the U of L, pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree. I am really looking forward to what remains of this school year. I hope to see you at the events we have planned. If you have any questions about the Students' Union, please feel free to contact me. My door is always open, and I love to visit!

Hi! My name's Jerrad Kubik and I am your Vice President Academic. I'm currently in my third year of a Religious Studies degree, and when I'm finished (hopefully next year) I plan on attending graduate or law school.

I've lived in the Lethbridge area all of my life. However, this is the first summer in four years that I've stayed in Lethbridge instead of working in Denmark. It was a little "quiet" without any students, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful Lethbridge can be when it rains!

As Vice President Academic I am responsible for any academic issues that occur on campus. Everything from student positions on university committees, to the wonderful test bank, to grade appeals fall under my portfolio. I am also responsible for the federal lobbying that our Students' Union is apart of.

I encourage every student to get involved on campus. Play intramurals, get a radio show with CKUL, join a club, go to a drama production, write for the Meliorist, and go cheer at a Pronghorns game. There are tonnes of cool things to do on campus, and you'll get to meet great people too! And I'd like to see everyone on campus rub the Bronze Pronghorn's ass; it's good luck!!

Hi, my name is Gorm Hansen, your Students' Union Vice President Administration. My duties involve the financial side ofthe SU, and sitting on several committees, such as the General Faculties Council and the University Budget Committee.

I was born in Denmark, but spent most of my childhood on a farm near Daysland, a small town in central Alberta. Since then I've lived in Edmonton, Red Deer, and now Lethbridge.

This is my second year here, and I expect to graduate in 2004. I am in the combined degree program, working on my Bachelors of Management (Accounting) and Arts (History). I have recently joined the Climbing and the History clubs, and I wish I had the time to join more.

I would encourage you to take an active hand in your school to make your time here at the UofL about more than just getting your degree. Joining clubs, sitting on committees, and volunteering are fun ways of helping people and learning citizenship through involvement with ones community. Change is in the air... The Students' Union Health and Dental Plan has changed this year. Please stop by our office (Su180) to pick up a new brochure to familiarize yourself with the plan or check out the information on-line at http://home.uleth.ca/stu. The drug cards are available and are now ready for electronic processing. Stop by the office to pick up what you need today!
