THE ICONIC CARLOS SANTANA RETURNS TO ISRAEL AFTER 29 YEARS

As part of his Luminosity Tour, Ten time GRAMMY®-Award and Three time Latin GRAMMY®-Award winning rock icon and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Santana has announced one exclusive live-show in Tel Aviv, Haryarkon Park on July 30, 2016. This will mark Carlos' first return to the Holy Land since 1987, a 29-year gap.
“Carlos Santana is a citizen of the World and he plays his music and spreads his message of Love, Light & Peace wherever he goes,” says Santana manager Michael Vrionis. “Carlos believes the World should have no borders so he is not detoured or discouraged to play anywhere on this planet. We look forward to performing in Israel this summer.”
For forty years and as many albums later, Santana has sold more than 100 million records and reached more than 100 million fans at concerts worldwide. To date, Santana has won ten GRAMMY® Awards and three Latin GRAMMY® Awards. He won a record-tying nine GRAMMYs for a single project for 1999’s Supernatural (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for “Smooth”) as well as three Latin GRAMMY’s. He has also received the Billboard Century Award (1996), was ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1998), received the Billboard Latin Music Awards’ Lifetime Achievement honor (2009), and was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors Award (2013). Among many other honors, Carlos Santana has been cited by Rolling Stone as #15 on their list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.” And, with the 2014 release of Corazón, Santana surpassed the Rolling Stones and is one of only two music acts in Billboard history to score at least one Top Ten album for six consecutive decades from the 1960s on.
April 15, 2016, marks the release of Santana IV, a studio album that reunites the revered early '70s lineup with Carlos, Gregg Rolie, Neal Schon, Michael Carabello, and Michael Shrieve. The album marks the first time in 45 years -- since 1971's multi-platinum classic Santana III - that the quintet has recorded together. The first single "Anywhere You Want To Go" is out now.
Santana IV features 16 all-new tracks written and produced by the band that burst with the same unparalleled energy and superlative musicianship that made Santana a pioneering force in world music and a household name across the globe. Joining the core Santana IV band in the studio are current Santana members Karl Perazzo (percussion) and Benny Rietveld (bass), with the legendary vocalist Ronald Isley guesting on two cuts.
Santana is currently headlining a multi-year residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. 2014 also saw Carlos Santana release his New York Times Best Seller, “The Universal Tone: Bringing My Story to Light.” It’s a profoundly inspiring tale of spiritual commitment and musical fearlessness that does not balk at finding the humor in the world of high-flying fame, nor at speaking plainly of Santana’s personal revelations, and the divine and infinite possibility he sees in each person he meets.
