Meditate with Virginia Wednesday July 15, 2020 at 7:00 Pm MDT Virginia Fidel 201 Homestead Rd Lavina MT 59046 July 12, 2020 Meditate with Virginia Wednesday July 15, 2020 at 7:00 pm MDT We are the people of the world. We came to this world with the beautiful gift of diversity – different languages and races; different political and religious beliefs; different shapes and sizes, genders and sexual preferences; different cultures and monies; different continents and countries and communities. Different everything! Earth allows us the privilege of being guests upon her precious soil. One of her greatest gifts to us here is a perfect example of harmony - the harmony found in Nature. Have you taken the time to appreciate the diversity of Nature? Have you listened to the music of the wind moving through trees, birds singing, and insects chirping, buzzing and squeaking? Have you seen the array of colors and shapes and ways of being that are represented in Nature? Can you appreciate how in their diversity, each and every one of them is perfect - just the way it is? It is the same with humanity. We have the opportunity to experience tremendous diversity - and harmony - here on Earth. We also have a cognitive mind and free will. In every moment, we choose how we’ll perceive and react to what we experience. We can experience our diversity with wonder and joyful acceptance; or with fear, and rejection of things that we don’t understand or can’t control. We live together on this beautiful planet called Earth. Here we can learn from nature, a perfect example of harmony. Humanity too will create harmony from our diversity one day, when we finally feel kindness toward each other’s https://virginiafidel.com/ Page 1 of 2 differences and are thankful for our shared journey of change and growth. We really can all be at peace, with ourselves and with each other. We have so much to be thankful for. We could start with that. We are the people of the world. ********** I recommend watching this week’s video and looking over the suggestions for contemplation before Wednesday. When it’s time, watch the video once more, then enter into a quiet space of meditation. This week’s video is, Thankful, sung by Josh Groban. Written by Carole Bayer Sager, David Foster and Richard Page. Video by Randa Victor. (Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBEI1F22uqE) 1. On Wednesday July 15, 2020 at 7:00 pm MDT play the video at the above link. Appreciate the humble and powerful energy of thankfulness. 2. Set your timer for 30 minutes. Settle comfortably in a quiet place. 3. Think of one thing that you are thankful for right now. a. In what way(s) does this contribute to your life? b. What would your life be like without it? c. How do you express your thankfulness for it? 4. Repeat step 3, a different thing that you are thankful for. 5. After 30 minutes, gently come back. Remember, be thankful for everything. Show others how you feel. Being thankful is highly contagious. With Love, Virginia https://virginiafidel.com/ Page 2 of 2 .

Gratitude… The Path to a Full Reboot! Psalm 100 Wilton Presbyterian Church Rev. Shannon White November 22, 2020 As I began to write the sermon for this week, I awoke to no internet service. Ugh. I had three Zoom appointments, all before noon, and Peyton, my daughter, was to begin class on Zoom at 9am. Rebooting the cable box didn’t work. My guess was that the fierce storm from Sunday night was the cause. What to do? I had a choice… stew in frustration or reboot myself, in a sense, and go to plan B. At least we had power and heat. At least I have an office I can go to. At least I have my health and a job and the list could go on and on… So, I want to do something different this week… as we begin to talk about gratitude as the path to resiliency, let’s start with a breathing exercise. You might call it a chance for your own reboot~~ Take a deep breath in….and let it out Take another breath in and let it out This time breathe in a sense of peace… and breathe out any stress in your body Breathe in peace and… breathe out fear Let’s do that one again…. This time breathe in a sense of compassion for yourself and breathe out judgement Breathe in God’s presence and breathe out any feeling of disconnection Breathe in a your belovedness to God and breathe out any doubt…. Breathe… breathe in love and breathe out skepticism Breathe in gratitude and breathe out anything blocking you… fear or anger or apathy As you continue to breathe, rest or relax into that breath… knowing that the source of your breath is always near and knows you and loves you more intimately than you know yourself Be at one… all is well in this very moment.

Meeting of the Democratic Club of the Santa Clarita Valley (Featuring Mark Pash and Brad Parker) Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 7:00pm El Chaparral Mexican Restaurant 19132 Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country, CA 91351 Please call Minerva at (661) 295-9318 or (661) 505-5493 to RSVP or email [email protected] or [email protected] This evening we hope to discuss where we are going financially. Do Democrats need to take a vow of poverty in order to be progressive in today’s economy? A new non-profit - The Center for Progressive Economics has been organized with the following mandate ~ "CPE will promote the correct macroeconomic understanding, mainly through economic validation, that joins business with government, educators, environmentalists, civic and philanthropic leaders to create a quality global economy and community." and ~ "We cannot have a politically democratic society without economic democracy!" Over the many years Progressives, Liberals and Democrats do not have a comprehensive grasp of the macro-economic forces at work in the world today. That has created a situation where Conservatives and the Right wing of American political life have free rein to say anything they want on economic issues with impunity because they tout themselves as the only reasonable position on real world economics. CPE is bringing forth not only the counter to that argument but a robust picture of the Progressive alternative to over thirty years of "NeoLiberal" or "Rational" economics. Simply put - unlike all current "Zero Sum" or "Win-Lose" economic theories, Progressive Economics is the "Win-Win" economic solution! Mark Pash is the driving force behind the economic policies you will find in all of the CPE publications online, in print and in person.
