DUTIES; Support and be responsible to the Secretary for Justice and Border Control for the coordination of the New Zealand Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Trade funding agreement in respect to the Nauru Law and Justice Sector improvement initiative Phase II. (Activity) Support the coordination and management of local capacity building activities on the ground in Nauru. Develop an annual integrated Capacity Development Plan in Conjunction with the Secretary for Justice and Border Control and Justice sector staff. Coordinate and develop annual training plans for Judiciary staff and Corrections staff. Design and supervise individual staff training plans. Organise workshops and seminars in lines with the training plans for the Nauru Law and Justice Sector. Support a community legal awareness campaign. In collaboration with the Secretary for Justice and Border Control, Justice Sector staff and the Human Resources division develop an annual Nauru Law and Justice Sector human resources plan. Assist the Secretary for Justice and Border Control to establish a public defender’s office.

QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110. Degree in Education or other relevant discipline. A minimum of 5 years experience delivering training to adults. A minimum 5 years experiencing developing training programs and individual training plans. Sound Project Management skills. Well developed interpersonal skills and confidence in relationship building. An ability to work both autonomously and as a member of team. Excellent problem solving skills. High levels of confidentiality and integrity. Sound time management and organisational skills.
