They have been designed to combine Bali’s most secret and famous sites and may be taken as a full tour or you are welcome to select specific points of interest. If you wish to visit any other site in Bali not included here please do not hesitate to contact your Guest Assistant about it. AMANUSA’S SACRED TEMPLE TOUR Religious devotions are as much a part of daily life in Bali as breathing, eating and sleeping. To experience the true essence of Bali you really should not miss out on visiting at least one or two temples. Amanusa has developed this fascinating tour of four temples in our area which traces the steps of the Javanese high priest, Dang Hyang Nirartha, who came to Bali in 1537 in search of a sacred site where he could achieve enlightenment, known as Moksa in Hinduism. This expedition brought Nirartha to our Bukit region of South Bali. The four temples visited on our tour are Pura Goa Gong, Pura Geger, Pura Gunung Payung and Bali’s most famous temple, Pura Luhur Uluwatu; each temple has its own fascinating background of history and legends. If you are interested in more information about this tour please do not hesitate to contact your Guest Assistant. MENGESTA’S RICE BASKET TOUR World Heritage Experience This wonderful and unique tour of discovery takes you to the beating heart of Bali – the island’s rice growing district. The Balinese consider rice to be a direct gift from God, it is the most important crop farmed on the island and is deeply entrenched in the traditions and lifestyle of every community. Mengesta’s Rice Basket Tour visits some of Bali’s most picturesque rice growing regions and starts off with a visit to the Subak Museum in Tabanan. Subak is Bali’s Rice Farmers’ Co-operative and has been in existence for many hundreds of years and every rice farmer must be a member. The museum clearly demonstrates how the Subak irrigation system functions, the brilliant organisational skills of the Balinese people and their traditional farming methods of rice cultivation. In June 2012 UNESCO granted World Heritage cultural status to Bali’s Subak Irrigation System. The Tour continues into the heartland of the Bali’s rice growing district with breathtaking views of rice terraces, mountains and traditional villages. A relaxing picnic lunch is set up for you in a shaded bamboo bale in Mengesta, hidden in an idyllic spot with uninterrupted views of the rice terraces against a stunning backdrop of distant mountains. Additional points of interest along the way include the magnificent temple of Pura Luhur Batukaru, located in a tropical forest 1,300 metres up the slopes of Mt Batukaru; a traditional Balinese family compound; a secluded and little-known Balinese Catholic church. This is a journey to the very soul of Bali where the traditions of rice, religion, community life, history and personal sacrifice are woven together to provide a fascinating insight into the unique characteristics that make up this remarkable island. Your Guest Assistant will be happy to provide you with more in depth information about this tour. AMANUSA SPA TREATMENTS Ibu Leki and her team of in-house therapists have transformed one of our suites into a pampering sanctuary. Our wonderful Spa Therapists specialise in massages, body treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures. Their extensive experience and quiet disposition means that an hour or two with them will leave you completely relaxed and invigorated. Treatments can be taken at the Spa Suite, your own suite, poolside or at the beach. Please refer to our separate Spa Menu for a list of treatments available and do not hesitate to discuss further with your Guest Assistant. SPORTS & RECREATION TEMPLE AND BEACH CYCLING TOUR This exhilarating bicycle ride combines a route that visits both Beach & Temple. The ride starts at the Amanusa Villas and continues to Puri Geger. From there it continues to Peninsula Island (the water blowhole), along Nusa Dua Beach & the pathways through Nusa Dua’s gardens, ending up at Amanusa’s Beach Club. Our beach attendant will be ready to welcome you at the end point and provide refreshments. The ride is 5km and takes 1.5 hours. This is a highly recommended activity and an ideal way to experience the beauty and diversity of South Bali. You are welcome to go off on your own or have one of Amanusa’s guides accompany you on a planned tour. We will be happy to personalise a trip to suit your requirements and your physical condition. We suggest you wear light, cool clothes and sunscreen and carry plenty of drinking water; we also recommend you lock your bike when leaving it for any length of time. For safety on the road, helmets are available. If you have a bicycle breakdown, please call Amanusa for assistance or arrange for a taxi to bring you and your bicycle back to the resort. Amanusa will cover the cost. Should you decide, somewhere along the road, that you have had enough exercise, please call Amanusa and a driver will pick you and your bicycle up. BEACH CLUB The Amanusa Beach Club is a three-minute drive from the hotel, located on Nusa Dua beach. Our private shaded bales (pavilions) and sun-beds are the perfect base for a sensational day of relaxation on the beach. Sea kayaks are available as well as plenty of beach toys for the kids. Our Beach Club restaurant serves a delicious lunch menu and the homemade ice cream is always a hit with both the kids and adults. Wi-fi is also available at the beach for our guests. AMANUSA’S GYM SUITE Equipment in our private Gym Suite includes treadmill, cross trainer, bicycle, free weights, fitness balls and exercise mats.

  • PURA LEMPUYANG LUHUR Artinya Kurang Lebih Seperti Berikut
Here, on an island less than 150 kilometres wide and only 80 kilometres from north to south, day-to-day life is layered in ceremony and festival, a parade of activities rooted among the island’s 3.5 million inhabitants. The joy of Bali is that daily life is just as memorable for its visitors. The island’s complex and endlessly renewing culture offers new experiences from morning to evening – from temple ceremonies and gamelan performances, to village festivals and palace theatre. Located in the cultural heart of Bali, Amandari will guide you to encounter the island’s beguiling face and discover its soul. In a country of rivers and volcanic mountains, tropical forest, terraced rice fields, sea vistas and more, there is no shortage of activities to get close to the land, its people and their culture. To help you get there, we have carefully curated our Amandari Experience Guide.

THE BEST OF BALI & LOMBOK 1 etween the two Indonesian islands of Bali and Lom- bok, you can experience it all—from pristine, quiet Bbeaches to a throbbing nightlife scene and more: Culture, world-class surfing, lush rice paddies, volcanic mountain scenery, and fantastic year-round weather. But wait, there’s more. The island pair also offers the best-rated resorts at reasonable prices, flawless service, and pampering, cut-rate spa treatments. A Hindu haven in the Muslim-majority Indonesian archipelago, Bali has for years attracted artists, honeymooners, spiritual seekers, surfers, and those otherwise looking for the “good life,” while Lombok attracts more rugged travelers looking for an off-the-beaten-path experience. The Bali- nese and the people of Lombok have always been accommodating hosts, and their acceptance of different lifestyles has drawn an assortment of “misfit” residents. During your trip, you’re destined to meet some real characters, whether they be of the “Kuta cowboy” variety—young Indone- sian bachelors trolling the beach for foreign girlfriends—or the cult of New Age, yoga-obsessed foreigners who’ve settled in the rice paddies of Ubud. The Balinese practice a unique amalgam of Indian Hindu traditions, Buddhism, ancient Javanese customs, and indigenous, animistic beliefs. The beauty of their faith colors every aspect of life, from fresh flowers strewn everywhere in obeisance to the calm of morning prayer at the temple. During your visit, you’re sure to catch the distinctive tones of the gamelan, a xylophone-like instrument, and the gathering of sarong-clad worshipers at the island’s ubiquitous temples.
