23 Delivering on the Promise

WNIT’s Center for Public Media continues to meet its pledge to use its space for community and civic affairs. On June 30, we held the third in our series, “South Bend: Thriving or Dying?” as we broadcast “The Youth Effect: Being Young in Michiana.” The live and lively one-hour program featured young professionals throughout Michiana who talked about the life choices that led them to live, work and study here.

On Sunday, August 21, WNIT broadcast “Our Town: Warsaw – Winona Lake” as part of its August Membership campaign. The documentary featured the people, places and happenings of Warsaw-Winona Lake as experienced by those who call the community “home.” This is the fourth of an ongoing Our Town series which thus far has included South Bend, Elkhart, Goshen and now Warsaw-Winona Lake.
