WOOLWICH TWP. — The township received a $25,000 grant Tuesday to install a Rocket Compost machine at Kingsway Regional High School.

The grant is part of Sustainable Jersey’s Small Grants program — which is funded by Walmart — and is awarded to municipalities that are trying to make progress toward a sustainable future and toward Sustainable Jersey certification. More Gloucester County

Sustainable Jersey is a certification program for New Jersey municipalities that supports community efforts to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions and improve environmental quality.

Sustainable Jersey gave out 32 awards to communities spanning 18 counties at the New Jersey League of Municipalities luncheon Tuesday.
