City of Surrey Organic Biofuel Processing Facility  Agreement announced: Project February 2015  The new organics biofuel processing facility for the City of Expected completion: Surrey will process residential and commercial kitchen and yard 2016 waste into a renewable fuel and use it to power the City’s new waste trucks.

Resource Recovery Centre (RRC)  Shortlist Announced: Residual solids from the treatment plant at McLoughlin Point May 2014 will be piped to the RRC where they will be treated and  Expected completion: processed into biosolids. TBD

Under Construction Project Description Status North Island Hospitals Project  Agreement announced: The new hospitals in the Comox Valley and Campbell River will June 2014 increase acute care capacity on North Vancouver Island,  Expected completion: enhance safety and quality of care for all patients, and improve 2017 the region’s ability to recruit and retain medical professionals.

Vernon Jubilee Hospital Inpatient Bed Project  Agreement announced: The addition of 60 beds and the completion of the sixth and June 2014 seventh floor at Vernon Jubilee Hospital Polson Tower, which  Expected completion: were originally set aside with future patient needs in mind. 2015

BC Children’s and BC Women’s Redevelopment  Agreement announced: Project Phase 2 April 2014  Phase 2 of the BC Children’s and BC Women’s Redevelopment Expected completion: Project -the Acute Care Centre - will house patient care services 2017 from both BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre.

Okanagan Correctional Centre Project  Agreement announced: The Correctional Centre will be a state-of-the-art March 2014 facility comprised of 378 high-security inmate cells. These cells  Expected completion: will be organized within ten living units, each containing 36 cells, 2016 and an additional living unit containing 18 cells. The project site is a 36-acre site located seven kilometres north of Oliver, , on Highway 97 in the southern end of the Senkulmen Business Park owned by the Osoyoos Indian Band.

John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project  Agreement announced: The replacement of the existing six-unit, 126 MW generating February 2014 station in Campbell River. Wood Innovation and Design Centre (WIDC)  Agreement announced: A multi-storey wood building in Prince George that will March 2013 showcase British Columbia’s expertise and global reputation as a  Expected completion: leader in wood construction and design, and engineered wood 2014 products.

Evergreen Line Rapid Transit Project  Agreement announced: An 11-kilometre-long rapid transit line that will connect December 2012 Coquitlam to Vancouver via Port Moody and Burnaby. The  Expected completion: Evergreen Line will be fast, frequent and convenient. 2016

SRO Renewal Initiative  Agreement announced: The single room occupancy (SRO) Renewal Initiative project will December 2012 renew and restore 13 SRO hotels located in Vancouver’s  Expected completion: Downtown Eastside, currently home to more than 900 2016 residents. The project is expected to deliver numerous benefits and improvements for residents, including the quality of maintenance, services and programs delivered.

Interior Heart and Surgical Centre (IHSC) Project  Agreement announced- The four-storey, 12,970-square-metre IHSC will house the IHSC: June 2012 permanent cardiac program, and a full suite of operating and  Expected completion- inpatient support units. Operational Project Description Status Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre  Completed: August 2008 The 60,000-square-metre, 300-bed Abbotsford Regional Hospital provides enhanced and specialized health services to 330,000 Fraser Valley residents and the BC Cancer Agency Abbotsford Centre provides greater access to cancer care and treatment for people with cancer in the Fraser Valley.

BC Cancer Agency Centre for the North  Completed: November The new centre is part of the overall Northern Cancer Control 2012 Strategy, a joint initiative undertaken by PHSA, BCCA and Northern Health. The new 5,000-square-metre Centre for the North provides residents of northern B.C. with increased access to cancer treatment and diagnostic services closer to home.

Britannia Mine Water Treatment Plant  Completed: January A new acid-water treatment plant at the former Britannia Mine 2006 site near Squamish, B.C.

Canada Line  Completed: August 2009 A rail rapid transit line connecting central Richmond, the Airport and Sea Island, Cambie Corridor, central Broadway and downtown Vancouver.

Fort St. John Hospital and Residential Care Project  Completed: June 2012 A 55-bed hospital linked to a 123-bed residential care facility with an integrated services centre for centralized food and laundry services. The residential care facility shares services with the hospital to increase operational efficiency.

Golden Ears Bridge  Completed: June 2009 A new six-lane toll bridge across the Fraser River to improve the movement of people and goods in Greater Vancouver.

Gordon & Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre  Completed: August 2006 A new facility that supports several hundred medical students, more than 580 medical and allied professionals, and an estimated 600,000 patient visits annually.

Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre  Completed: May 2011 A four-storey, 17,500-square-metre outpatient facility located at Green Timbers Urban Forest, less than one kilometre away from Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Kicking Horse Canyon (Phase 2)  Completed: August 2007 Improvements involving the replacement of Park Bridge (10 Mile) and the upgrade of highway approaches.

Modular Classroom Project  Completed: September A centralized procurement for 133 newly designed modular 2011 classrooms to support the Province’s commitment to provide full day kindergarten which commenced in September 2011.

Pitt River Bridge and Mary Hill Interchange  Completed: October A new crossing and interchange to replace former routes. 2009

Port Mann/Highway 1 Improvement  Completed: 2013 Project The Port Mann/Highway 1 Improvement Project includes the widening of Hwy 1, a bridge at the Port Mann crossing, upgrading interchanges and improving access and safety on Hwy 1 from the McGill Street interchange in Vancouver to 216th Street in Langley - a distance of approximately 37 kilometres.

Flexibility for an additional 300 replacement beds in the future.

Royal Jubilee Hospital Patient Care Centre  Completed: December A 37,000-square-metre, 500-bed Patient Care Centre at the 2010 Royal Jubilee Hospital campus to replace former inpatient accommodation.

Sea-to-Sky Highway Improvement Project  Completed: October Major improvements of the Sea-to-Sky highway between 2009 Horseshoe Bay and Whistler to improve its safety, reliability and capacity.

Sierra Yoyo Desan Resource Road  Completed: 2005 A 188-kilometre-long major upgrade of the Sierra Yoyo Desan (SYD) Road.

Smart Metering Program  Completed: 2012 Replacement of 1.8 million electromechanical customer meters with new, digital smart electricity meters that enable two-way communication between the customer and the utility.

South Fraser Perimeter Road Project  Completed: 2013 A 40-kilometre, four-lane road that runs along the south side of the Fraser River, improving the movement of people and goods through the region, providing better access to major trade gateways and reducing east-west travel times.

www.partnershipsbc.ca page 8 of 9 Operational Project Description Status Surrey Memorial Hospital Redevelopment  Completed: 2014 Expansion: Emergency Department and Critical Care Tower A new, state-of-the art critical care tower, including a new emergency department (completed in 2013), perinatal centre, inpatient beds, intensive care unit and academic space to be built at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Surrey Pretrial Services Centre Expansion Project  Completed: November A maximum-security, state-of-the-art 180-cell expansion to the 2013 existing Surrey Pretrial Services Centre, together with associated renovations to the existing facility.

William R. Bennett Bridge  Completed: May 2008 A new 5-lane replacement for the former floating bridge crossing Okanagan Lake.
