Kflcc Bible Study KFLCC BIBLE STUDY KINGDOM TRAINING: WEDNESDAY NIGHTS (LESSON 1) THE POWER BEHIND JEZEBEL REVELATION 2:18-29 When we begin to discuss Jezebel, we often focus on the female herself instead of the principality that embodied her. Jezebel was a prophetess of Baal of her father religion. Baal is identified as the ruler of the demons. Matthew 12:24 (Beelzebub is another name for Baal) Baal-hamon, one of Baal's names, means "the lord of wealth or abundance." You must war against this spirit to see your inheritance released. Jeremiah 51:44 (Bel in this verse is Baal). Baal-berith, another of his names, means "the lord of the covenant." The Hebrew word baal actually means "husband" or "marriage." This spirit always attempted to cause Israel to "divorce" or break covenant with God and "marry" or align with him. Consistent with this, in so many ways America has broken covenant with God and married Baal. Baal is the strongman behind sexual perversion. Homosexuality was and is one of his big strongholds. I believe all of the sexual sin and perversion in America is, to one degree or another, under Baal's orchestration. You will continue to see God expose leaders in the church who aligned themselves with this spirit. Pray for the church to be cleansed and for Baal's hold on America in this area to be broken. “DISOVERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD WITHIN YOU” LUKE 17:21 MAGAZINE Baal Powered Jezebel Baal always goes after the next generation, trying to cut off the extension of God's covenantal purposes and promises . He is a violent spirit and even required human sacrifice. Abortion is under Baal, as is the "cutting" of today's young generation (1 Kings 18:28), the vampire and gothic movement, and the death culture in general that has so invaded America. Pray against and bind these efforts. Witchcraft and occult spirits in general operate under Baal. So does Jezebel, the spirit that is behind all rebellion. Nearly all churches have adopted the spirit of Baal. It is critical, dangerous and grave that we know what Baalism is. Today Baalsim has been successfully able to disguise itself so that even the elect of God would be deceived. This false God is held in deception and in secret. It must be exposed as it has nearly destroyed the church, sending many members to hell. Baal was the God of the Canaanites. Baal was called “the God of fertility”. They gave him credit for all reproduction. He was praised for crop production and the weather. This thought was translated into the realm of human reproduction. Public sexual orgies, including Bi-sexual acts where forms of celebration. Loud noises where made at these practices to drown out the noise of unwanted babies, being burned alive. Free sexual acts where causing unwanted children. In order handle this problem they would sacrifice their unwanted children to Baal in worship. Over the last 50 years there’s been a huge shift within the church. The salvation message has been replaced with positive thinking. Popularity and church growth have become first and knowing Christ and His Word in Obedience is not a priority. again: saith, keepeth, abideth, doeth, purifieth, committeth, transgresseth, sinneth, dwelleth, loveth, hateth, overcometh. Here the truth is out. To be assured that we are Christians and are saved, we must obey God. Are you saying that you are His? Are you continually keeping his word? Are you always abiding in His presence? Are you consistently doing His will? Are you purifying yourself? Are you always trustworthy? Are you constantly sinning? Are you living in Obeying Christ is how we have the His awareness? Do you love at all assurance of salvation. 1st John 1:6 If we times? A man holds his glass in the air and says, “To our wives and our sweethearts”. Then he says, “may they never meet!” We who are Christians have committed ourselves in a covenant marriage to Jesus. Yet we all live in secret desperation that He might find out about our other sweethearts. You know, the ones we lavish our attention on, the ones we can’t wait to see again, the ones we spend so much money on. What a terrible thing if God found out about them! The weeping prophet from the Old Testament, Jeremiah, announced to Israel that God had indeed found out about their other sweethearts named Baal and Molech! Baal and Molech: Through the words of the prophet Jeremiah, Yahweh, our one true God, is telling the people why he is about to send them out and why he is so angry with them. They had turned to Baal and to Molech. Baal would appear as a prefix on a name like Jerubabaal in the book of Judges or Baal Peor as in the book of Exodus or Jezebel, whose father’s name was Ethbaal which means “Baal is alive” or Belezebub, meaning Satan or the Devil, which is actually a form of Baal zebub! Asherah is the name of the wife of Baal. The Asherah poles were where the idol worship took place. Jezebel’s “groves”. Baal is associated with weather patterns, seasons, and fertility. It was believed that Baal died every winter and then was born every spring. With his birth came the spring harvest. Then he would thrive through summer, age in fall only to die in winter. Barton Payne [p.50] The four chapters of Isaiah 36-39 that appear also in II Kings 18-20 and that contain historical dialog between the prophet and his king, Hezekiah, have produced more critical debate than any other section of I and II Kings.1 They furnish also some of our primary evidence for the unity of the Book of Isaiah,2 forming, as Delitzsch has put it, a “bridge” to the prophecies that follow.3 A thorough treatment of this evidence hence becomes impossible under present limitations. The writer would seek, however, to indicate three specific areas within this larger discussion in which sharpened awareness may contribute to a defense of the total authority of Scripture. L. CONDITIONING FACTORS IN EVANGELICALISM’S APPROACH TO ISAIAH 36-39 If we take, for example, such a question as the relation of Isaiah 36-39 to II Kings 18-20, it appears at the outset that liberal and conservative writers reach opposite conclusions because of their respective methodologies. The liberal, e.g. S.R. Driver, limits his admissable evidence to inductive comparisons of literary detail and of thematic concepts; he thus decides in favor of the priority of Kings.4 The conservative, e.g. Franz Delitzsch, while utilizing historical prose style as a confirmatory factor, concentrates on two reasons that arise (1) out of an analogy with other sections of Kings and Isaiah and (2) out of the authority of Chronicles, deductively applied to the chapters in question; he thus insists upon the originality of Isaiah.5 Bible believing scholars appear to be conditioned by five distinctive principles.

Not only the placing of the Oracles, but also the sequence is different from the Hebrew Bible.     THE ARRANGEMENT OF JEREMIAH'S PROPHECIES J. BARTON PAYNE Evangelicalism can find value in a clarification of its thinking about the ar- rangement of Jeremiah's prophecies. Improved understanding is to be desired, both for the guidance of our own constituency, who find the unelaborated order of the Book perplexing,1 and for the answering of our contemporary critics, who reiterate the hopelessness of discovering consistency within Jeremiah's pages.2 The following study therefore attempts (i) to specify certain basic assumptions which distinguish evangelicalism's approach to the organization of the prophecy; (ii) to analyze the types of evidence by which its chapters may be dated and from these to formulate a chronological picture of their sequence; and (iii) to postulate an explanation for the present arrangement of the Book. I. Evangelical Presuppositions Because of their belief in the inerrancy of Jeremiah, evangelical scholars accept at face value the title its compiler has assigned to it, namely that this prophecy is "the words of Jeremiah" (1:1) : his intent, that is, is to teach a uni- formly Jerernianic authenticity, right up to the final 52nd chapter. With this agrees his declaration in 51:64, "Thus far are the words of Jeremiah,"3 The effect of this presupposition is indeed pervasive in distinguishing conservative from liberal in- terpretation; for, as expressed over a quarter of a century ago in The Princeton Theological Review. There is scarcely a passage in the Book the authenticity of which has been allowed to pass without some from of challenge; nor is it with- out significance that it is on some of the richest and loftiest portions of Jeremiah's message that this process of dissection has been put into most active operation.4 A modern critic such as James Muilenburg can thus propose extended oral circu- larization with resultant expansions of Jeremiah's prophecies;5 and J.
