Roster Limits: 35 players Eligibility Requirements: Must have remaining collegiate athletic eligibility. (Exception, each team may add to their roster two players who are at least 18 years of age, graduated from high school and have enrolled in college.) Playoffs: July 31 – August 7 Playoff Teams: The top three teams in each division will qualify for the postseason. Format: Teams will be seeded based on finish in the regular season standings in their respective divisions. Both the PGCBL East and West will have seeds 1-3. The opening round of the divisional playoffs will feature two winner-take-all games pitting the second seed against the third seed at the site of the second seed. The winner of the game will advance to the divisional finals to play the number one seed in a best-of-three series format. In the division finals, the one seed will host Game 1 and Game 3 (if necessary). The winners of the two divisional finals series will then meet in the PGCBL Championship Series. The highest remaining seed will have home-field advantage in the first and third games. If both teams have the same seed, the team with the best winning percentage will receive home-field advantage.

Regular Season Recap: Standings East

Postseason Recap: John Nogowski The 2013 PGCBL Playoffs was filled with excitement. Amsterdam Mohawks The postseason began with Albany defeating Mohawk Valley in 11 innings to advance to the East Division 2013 Player of the Year Championship Series, where they would face the Amsterdam Mohawks. The Elmira Pioneers beat the Newark Pilots 5-0 behind 8 scoreless innings from Victor Diaz to advance to the West Division Championship Series. In the WDCS, Elmira won game Eann Cox one in Watertown in 14 innings and went on to sweep Cooperstown Hawkeyes the Rams two game to none. Amsterdam won game 2013 Pitcher of the Year one of the EDCS at home before losing game two on the road in 10 innings on an Anthony Marks walk-off single for Albany. Amsterdam won the deciding game three 9-4 to advance to the PGCBL Championship. The Nick Davey Mohawks won game one over the Pioneers 6-3 before losing game two in Elmira 9-7. In the winner-take-all Albany Dutchmen game three, Mohawks starter Matt Snyder fired 8.1 2013 Manager of the Year innings, only allowing one run to lead Amsterdam to its second consecutive PGCBL Championship. 4 www.pgcbl.com

Albany Dutchmen 22 24 .478 league. Glens Falls second baseman Ross Kivett hit

Watertown Wizards 18 27 .400 .401 for the Golden Eagles, leading the league as he took home the Player of the Year award. Amsterdam Elmira Pioneers 17 29 .370 right-hander Chandler Shepherd and Watertown left- Cooperstown Hawkeyes 12 32 .273 hander Rene Solis both finished with 1.31 ERAs to lead the league. Shepherd went 7-0 with 50 strikeouts to win the Pitcher of the Year award.

Postseason Recap:

In the first round of the 2012 PGCBL Playoffs, the Ross Kivett number one seed Amsterdam Mohawks faced the Glens Falls Golden Eagles number four seed Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs, 2012 Player of the Year while the number two seed Glens Falls Golden Eagles clashed with the number three seed Newark Pilots. In game one of the Amsterdam-Mohawk Valley series, the DiamondDawgs won 5-3 in 11 innings on a David del Grande 2-RBI double. Amsterdam won game two Chandler Shepherd handily, defeating Mohawk Valley 10-1. The pivotal Amsterdam Mohawks third game was postponed due to rain before being played on August 6. Amsterdam starter Mark Leiter 2012 Pitcher of the Year hurled a complete game without allowing an earned run as the Mohawks won 4-2. In the other series, Glens Falls won game one over Newark 6-5 with the help of 5 first inning runs. The Golden Eagles scored 2 Keith Griffin runs in the top of the ninth to defeat the Pilots and Amsterdam Mohawks advance to the PGCBL Championship. Amsterdam won 2012 Manager of the Year game one of the championship 7-1 and went on to sweep Glens Falls with Chandler Shepherd picking up the win in game two. The first round of the 2011 PGCBL Playoffs matched Erick Gaylord Watertown Wizards the Cooperstown Hawkeyes with the Newark Pilots and the Amsterdam Mohawks against the Glens Falls 2011 Player of the Year Golden Eagles. In game one between Cooperstown and Newark, the Hawkeyes used a seventh inning inside- the-park grand slam from Ben Miller to win 6-2. Newark held off a late rally by the Hawkeyes in game two, winning 3-2. In the winner-take-all game three, Dominick Ruscitti Newark scored four runs in the third and got 7.1 solid Newark Pilots innings from starter Dominick Ruscitti to advance to 2011 Pitcher of the Year the PGCBL Championship. In the East Division, Amsterdam scored runs in the eighth and ninth to come back and win 4-3. The Mohawks swept the series on a Matt Mack walk-off single to move on to face Newark in the PGCBL Championship. Amsterdam Eric Coleman took game one of the series behind Josh Alexander’s 2 Cooperstown Hawkeyes RBIs. In game one of a double-header held in 2011 Manager of the Year Amsterdam, Newark scored in the top of the ninth to win 4-3.
