Kelebihan BP3: Beriah yang BP 6: Kuala Kurau sebagai terletak bersempadan dengan pusat perikanan utama Negeri Kedah, merekodkan KPPT daerah yang mewakili jumlah tertinggi Iaitu 3.16 peratus antara penduduk ketiga terbesar. 2000-2010 dan 2.13 peratus antara 2010-2017. Under the so called Perak Amanjaya Development Plan, some of the things that we have tried to do are the same things that I believe many others here are concerned about: first, balanced development and economic distribution between the urban and rural areas by focusing on developing small towns; second, poverty eradication regardless of race or religion so that no one remains on the fringes of society or is left behind economically; and, third, youth empowerment. Under the first one, the state identifies viable small- and medium-size companies which can operate from small towns. These companies are to be working closely with the state government to boost the economy of the respective areas.

    6 -1 CHAPTER 6 SPATIAL MANAGEMENT PLAN The Spatial Management Plan is a basic framework that drives the translation of national strategic directions to the state level. Sustainable management of natural resources, food resources and State Spatial Management Plan heritage resources (KD1); involve the following states: 4. Management of risk areas (KD2); 5. The aim of this article is to show that proper planning and good execution will achieve exponential growth of economy for the locals as well as the local authorities. The paper will explore the focal point in tourism taken by Ipoh City Council in relation to sustainable development. The findings reveal challenges and issues experienced by the local authorities with regards to setting the direction, development and management of tourism development. Conclusion is to ensure tourism development sustainability in the long term. Keywords: Sustainable development, tourism industry, planning, implementation, local authorities, Ipoh City Council. 1. INTRODUCTION A habitat city under the United Nation’s programme is to promote socially, and sustainable towns and cities with the main goal of providing adequate shelter for all.
