STORYTELLER FRAN STALLINGS FRIDAY, JUNE 7TH 7:00 PM GRAND BALLROOM “EARLY OKLAHOMA IN STORY & SONG” You won’t want to miss Fran Stallings as she takes us on a journey of early Oklahoma through traditional tales and family history from before European contact to cowboys, pioneers, and statehood. https://epworthvilla.org/communitylife/resident-calendar/ 1 RESIDENT ASSOCIATION & COUNCIL WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5TH 10:00 AM BOB MEDLEY GRAND BALLROOM On June 5th at 10:00 am, in the Grand Ballroom, we will be holding a meeting of the Resident Association. This is a call to all Independent Living residents and those who have lived in Independent Living before. We will be voting on two (2) issues which affect all residents: 1) Changing the resident By- Laws to read that membership in resident standing committees will be through personal interest and signing up to serve on a specific committee rather than by appointment. 2) Approving the amended By-Law. In 2019, we have been utilizing this new procedure for serving on standing committees. It was set up as a pilot program. Feedback has been positive. You have voted through floor meetings to continue. So now we vote to make it a permanent clause in our By-Laws. Each floor has a copy of the proposed By-Law which we will vote on. Hopefully you have had a chance to look over. Floor reps also have a copy of the proposed amended By-Law. Neighbors, please plan to attend this meeting. Marilyn W. Resident Association President TO THE POINT WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5TH 2:00 PM BOB MEDLEY GRAND BALLROOM The next To The Point meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, at 2:00 pm in the Bob Medley Grand Ballroom. The meeting will be broadcast live on EVTV Channel 1960 and re-played that evening at 7:00 pm on EVTV Channel 1960. THANK YOU I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the choir for the beautiful flowers and card. It has been an honor for me to be the Villa Voices accompanist since the beginning (1990 –1991). Wenonah Hampton, a retired Rose State College vocal teacher was the first director, followed by Mattie Meyer. Our robes were donated by Hugh Bradley after the Brill Chapel was built. As I reflect back over the years, I believe this Villa Voices Choir is the largest and most professional we have had. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it. Betty H. 2 PODIATRIST DR.
