This belt is considered special because it is where the sun, the moon, and the planets all move. The word zodiac means “circle of figures” or “circle of life”. As the earth revolves around the sun, different parts of the sky become visible. Each month, one of the 12 constellations show up above the horizon in the east and disappears below the horizon in the west. If you are born under a particular sign, the constellation it is named for can’t be seen at night. Instead, the sun is passing through it around that time of year making it a daytime constellation that you can’t see! Dorado & Bedout Sub-Basin Update
Dorado & Bedout Sub-basin update 1 December 2020 Carnarvon Petroleum Limited (“Carnarvon” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that its partner in the Dorado field development and Bedout sub-basin exploration permits has today provided the ASX with an update on the project. The material is available on the Santos website as part of their Investor Day presentation. The Dorado field is an important development in the Australia energy landscape with exciting upside potential in the surrounding exploration acreage that Carnarvon holds an interest in. At Carnarvon’s recent Annual General Meeting the Company made a number of key points on this project which have been reiterated by its partner today. These highlights include: • The Bedout sub-basin is a highly prospective, liquids rich region with very large volume potential; • A substantial amount of work is being undertaken in advancing the Dorado field development; • The initial Dorado liquids development is expected to deliver low cost production from late 2025; • A phased and disciplined development is planned to ensure optimised FPSO and infrastructure design is capable of realising the value potential from the discovered Dorado resource and importantly a number of nearby exploration targets; and • The material Pavo and Apus prospects, which are capable of being tied back to Dorado, are being advanced for drilling to commence in late 2021. Carnarvon holds interests in four exploration permits covering a substantial portion of the Bedout sub-basin. These interests include 20% in WA-435-P -

In questo testo, così come in altre pubblicazioni dell'UAI, il nome si riferisce al termine (solitamente colloquiale) utilizzato per una stella nel linguaggio quotidiano, mentre la designazione è esclusivamente alfanumerica e viene usata quasi esclusivamente nei cataloghi ufficiali e nell'astronomia professionale. Storia dei cataloghi stellari La catalogazione delle stelle ha una lunga storia alle spalle. Sin dalla preistoria, culture e civiltà in tutto il mondo hanno dato dei propri nomi alle stelle più luminose e importanti nel cielo notturno. Attraversando le culture greca, latina e araba, alcuni nomi hanno subito pochi cambiamenti e altri sono in uso ancora oggi. Mentre l'astronomia si sviluppava e si evolveva nel corso dei secoli, sorgeva la necessità di un sistema di catalogazione universale, in base al quale le stelle più luminose (e quindi quelle più studiate) fossero conosciute secondo gli stessi appellativi, indipendentemente dal Paese o dalla cultura da cui provenivano gli astronomi. Per risolvere questo problema, gli astronomi durante il Rinascimento hanno tentato di produrre cataloghi stellari seguendo un insieme di regole. Il primo esempio, ancora oggi popolare, è stato introdotto da Johann Bayer nel suo atlante Uranometria del 1603. The H i content of the Eridanus group of galaxies is studied using the GMRT observations and the HIPASS data. A signi¯cant H i de¯ciency up to a factor of 2 ¡ 3 is observed in galaxies in the Eridanus group. The de¯ciency is found to be directly correlated with the projected galaxy density and inversely correlated with the line-of-sight radial velocity. It is suggested that the H i de¯ciency is due to tidal interactions. An important implication is that signi¯cant evolution of galaxies can take place in a group environment. Introduction Spiral galaxies in the cores of clusters are known to be H i de¯cient compared to their ¯eld counterparts (Davies and Lewis 1973, Giovanelli and Haynes 1985, Cayatte et al. 1990, Bravo-Alfaro et al. 2000). Several gas-removal mechanisms have been proposed to explain the H i de¯ciency in cluster galaxies. There are convincing results from both the simulations and the observations that ram-pressure stripping can be active in galaxies which have crossed the high ICM (Intra Cluster Medium) density region in the cores of clusters (Vollmer et al. 2001, van Gorkom 2003). However, it is not clear that all H i de¯cient galaxies have crossed the core. -

CONSTELLATION TRIANGULUM, THE TRIANGLE Triangulum is a small constellation in the northern sky. Its name is Latin for "triangle", derived from its three brightest stars, which form a long and narrow triangle. Known to the ancient Babylonians and Greeks, Triangulum was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy. The celestial cartographers Johann Bayer and John Flamsteed catalogued the constellation's stars, giving six of them Bayer designations. The white stars Beta and Gamma Trianguli, of apparent magnitudes 3.00 and 4.00, respectively, form the base of the triangle and the yellow-white Alpha Trianguli, of magnitude 3.41, the apex. Iota Trianguli is a notable double star system, and there are three star systems with planets located in Triangulum. The constellation contains several galaxies, the brightest and nearest of which is the Triangulum Galaxy or Messier 33—a member of the Local Group. The first quasar ever observed, 3C 48, also lies within Triangulum's boundaries. HISTORY AND MYTHOLOGY In the Babylonian star catalogues, Triangulum, together with Gamma Andromedae, formed the constellation known as MULAPIN "The Plough". It is notable as the first constellation presented on (and giving its name to) a pair of tablets containing canonical star lists that were compiled around 1000 BC, the MUL.APIN. The Plough was the first constellation of the "Way of Enlil"—that is, the northernmost quarter of the Sun's path, which corresponds to the 45 days on either side of summer solstice. Its first appearance in the pre-dawn sky (heliacal rising) in February marked the time to begin spring ploughing in Mesopotamia. -
