Il accompagne par ailleurs des startups dans leur développement, no- tamment le site de recommandations culturelles ULike, le site de partage et de tirages professionnels Darqroom dont il est administrateur depuis fin 2009, Voluntis, un éditeur de logiciels de suivi de traitement de maladies de longue durée, ainsi que Miyowa, spécialiste de la messagerie instantanée pour mobiles. Il est auteur de différents rapports, notamment de Visite du Consumer Electronics Show – publié les mois de janvier de chaque année de- puis 2006, ou sur l‟accompagnement des startups hightech en France, mis à jour deux fois par an depuis 2006. Olivier Ezratty débute en 1985 chez Sogitec, une filiale du groupe Dassault, où il est successivement Ingénieur Logiciel, puis Responsable du Service Etudes dans la Division Communication. Il initialise des développements sous Windows 1.0 dans le domaine de l'informatique éditoriale. Entrant chez Microsoft France en 1990, il y acquiert une expérience dans de nombreux domaines du mix marke- ting: produits, canaux, marchés, communication et relations presse. Il lance la première version de Visual Basic en 1991 ainsi que celle de Windows NT en 1993. En juillet 1998, Olivier Ezratty prend en charge la Direction Mar- keting et Communication de Microsoft France et en mai 2001, de la Division Développeurs et Plate-forme d'En- treprise dont il assure la création en France. Cette division promeut la plate-forme d'entreprise Microsoft auprès des développeurs, des éditeurs de logiciels et SSII, des responsables informatiques, des architectes logiciels, ainsi que dans l'enseignement supérieur et la recherche. Il y lance la plate-forme .NET, de nombreux partenariats avec l‟enseignement supérieur, la recherche et les éditeurs de logiciels français. Il quitte Microsoft en 2005 pour se lancer à son compte dans l‟accompagnement de l‟innovation avec une orientation grand public et médias numé- riques. It covers all CE product categories: video, photography, audio, mobility, computing, gaming, home automation and greentechs. It also goes in depth in the components side of these offerings: proces- sors, sensors, network and connectivity, sensors, display and user interactions. It can be viewed as a complement tool to blogs and media covering the CES which are usually broadcasting product-by-product news. In this document, you get a global view of the whole con- sumer electronics world. For free. Content comes from various sources: the CES show visit itself, pictures taken on the show floor and in press conferences, vendors press kits, blogs and news sites and at last the invaluable “CES Daily” published by TWICE during the show. The report covers not only the wealth of stuff presented at the CES, but also some specific offerings to the French market, particularly in the TV space, which is particularly well advanced due to the high penetration of IPTV. It also highlights the French CE industry presence at the CES, how to get there and what can be learned from trying to reach the US and worldwide markets from the CES. The author also keeps an eye on the way CE companies do market their products, trying to decipher marketing messaging and communication styles, identify- ing the good, the bad and the ugly of marketing practices. This year‟s edition is focused on the various options for enjoying connected televisions, on the ad- vances in 3D television and video, on the whereabouts of PCs, tablets, ebooks and smartphones, on the Android phenomenon which encompasses many product categories, and on greentech progress- es. The author of this report is Olivier Ezratty, a freelance consultant working with digital media com- panies and startups. He is particularly focused on the way companies can develop their third party product ecosystems, from the technology as well as from the marketing and business standpoints.
