Aside from its spectacular scenery, the canyon is one of the best birding spots in the country. It’s also a popular adventure destination. (4 × 2)

(e) The small town of Sabie is situated on the Panorama Route. It has got beautiful scenery and is surrounded by waterfalls, forests and spectacular views. There are great mountain biking trails. You could go abseiling down the Sabie Waterfall, kloofing in the Mac Mac River or play a round of gold at the Sabie River Sun Hotel. It is a good base for visiting the Kruger National Park.
