Storyline: New England undrafted rookie defensive back Malcolm Butler turned away Seattle wide receiver Ricardo Lockette (Fort Valley State) with a hit at the goal line while simultaneously intercepting a pass intended for Lockette with just :26 left to seal a dramatic 28-24 win for the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX. The deciding play came after Seattle broke from a 14-all haltime tie to go up 24-14 after three quarters. New England quarterrback Tom Brady threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes, his last of four in the game, to stake the Pats to the 28-24 lead. The final Seattle drive covered 79 yards in seven plays and took 1 minute, 49 seconds off the clock.
