Administration of Donald J. Trump, 2019 Remarks on Presenting the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Roger S. Penske and an Exchange With Reporters October 24, 2019 The President. Well, thank you very much. A very special day. Today I am delighted to present our Nation's highest civilian honor to a giant of American industry, entrepreneurship, and auto racing: the legendary Roger Penske. Roger, I want to congratulate you in receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Incredible. Incredible. [Applause] I'm proud of you. Thank you, Kathryn. With us today is Vice President Mike Pence and many terrific members of my Cabinet. Thank you all for being here. I appreciate it. They're all fans of Roger's. And most importantly with us is Kathryn. And you've been married for a couple of years. Do you want to give the number? I know what the number is, but I'm—I refuse to give it. Go ahead. Mr. Penske. Forty-six years. The President. Forty-six years. That's pretty amazing. And you look at the conditioning and—you're doing something right, both of you. Right? Kathryn Penske. Yes. The President. And it's been a beautiful marriage, I know that, for a long time. Roger was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, in 1937. The son of a successful businessman, Roger learned the value of hard work at a very young age. And at the age of 14, he attended his first Indianapolis 500. At 15, he bought his first car with money saved from his newspaper route.

Bruneau University of Montana ABSTRACT Sports sponsorships have become an increasingly large investment for many organizations. IEG (2018) has forecast that in 2018, total global sponsorship spending would be approximately $65.8 billion, with US sponsors contributing $24.28 billion. Close to 70%, or almost $46 billion, of total sponsorship spending will be directed towards the sponsoring of sports events, leagues, teams and individual sports personalities. This paper is a exploratory examination of sponsorships in INDYCAR racing based on participant observation over nine years of viewing INDYCAR races live and on television. Four specific sponsorship examples will be discussed to highlight sponsors’ motivations for sponsorship and how they activate the sponsorships to achieve marketing goals with both consumer and business markets.

CHEVROLETTER June 2021 Vol 2021 Issue 06.0 Director’s Report May 2021 As I write this, I should be wiping down the 38 getting ready for the Garden City memorial Day parade. The problem is that it is 49 degrees and wet and windy and the parade has been cancelled for a second time! June does have a few events scheduled that should get us feeling a little more like 2019. Hopefully we can make one or two of these events a club activity. Our supreme leader in Albany wants to get us back to normal as soon as possible and that means more car events. I have spoken to Oyster Bay and am told we may be opening up town meeting halls very soon. As of this writing there was no decision but I am optimistic that our next meeting will be inside the building and not sitting on the sidewalk in front of it. I will send out current information about the hall as soon as I know anything. Finally we can get back to coffee and donuts ! On June 13th, the Vanderbilt Region of the AACA will hold an outdoor swap meet and car corral in Ronkonkoma. Normally this group does the Brush Barn swap meet in Smithtown but this year’s was cancelled due to covid. These events are usually not too big but given the lack of other events it might be worth a trip. April 29th is the Queens Region show at Rock Hall Museum in Lawrence. Queens region members have always attended our events and we ask our members to return the courtesy if at all possible.
