It was a massive thing, coming in from south/west direction, headed northeast. I saw what looked like flaming lights in the front, almost like a point. The lights all together, resembled a triangular aircraft shape. The mid section had 2 bands of lights in a rhythmic circular pattern. It was quite massive, since I don’t know how far away it was....my best description was saying it was as big as a small neighbor Hawaiian island. Like Lanai. ?? That’s just what I could relate it to. There was no noise around it, that we could hear. I swear, I saw what looked like an energetic behind it. Not yellow in flame but maybe like a smoky type coloration. Definitely something there from the rear, in contrast to the night sky.

The only reason I was outside was that I had a friend who was out of town and he had asked me to water his plants, well I forgot to water them earlier so I was over there with a headlamp on watering bushes. When I walked back across the street, that’s when I saw it come over the top of my house. It was absolutely massive. Like nothing I have ever seen or knew could exist. I wake up everyday and think about it, my world got flipped upside down. • Hope this drawing is alright, the craft definitely had a wingspan. People who are unexpectedly confronted with a starting once-in-a-lifetime apparition, who then quickly and carefully document and share their impressions and their environs at that moment, provide the critical grist for future researchers. And equally important are the legions of unsung and often anonymous worldwide preservers of ‘UFO reports’ and other anomalous observations which so often fall through the cracks of scientific attention. These chroniclers, numbering in the thousands, have labored tirelessly for decades to capture information they want not to be lost forever, in the hopes that someday it could be important in making sense of it. Without them, most of such experiences WOULD have vanished from human consciousness. Perhaps the explanations offered here are not precisely in line with their own expectations, but they are sincerely offered in fulfilment of their higher hopes that someday somebody would take real lessons from their efforts, and in keeping faith with them, would show their labors were not in vain. Salute! 1130x/2020 Hawaii UFO Mothership RELEASE-2 15 ASIDE: PERSPECTIVE AND PROSPECTS The bizarre notion that a group of blazing meteor/spacecraft fragments on a near-level trajectory could be misconstrued by a startled witness to be a large craft with lights or windows had been circulating since the 1960s [William Hartmann, 1967], but seemed to defy common sense and to suggest/accuse major mental failures in the witnesses. Such cases were rare and poorly documented anyway. Around 1988-1992 I had suggested to MUFON that recent US and French “mothership overflights” were sparked by satellite reentries, but they were isolated cases and still seemed counter-intuitive [my main work was on rocket LAUNCHINGS as stimuli for UFO reports] . I got more deeply involved with reentries in 2010 when my Spanish colleague Vicente-Juan Ballester-Olmos sent me a Russian report on a 1963 Kiev, Ukraine overflight of a large, illuminated craft of unknown origin [see my 2014 report]. NASA ‘space debris guru’ Nicholas Johnson correlated the sighting with the decay of a Russian satellite. Intrigued, Canadian satellite watcher Ted Molczan began digging into records of meteor reports [and soon, UFO reports] and quickly developed a data base of dozens of similar correlations [see appendix], including with the 1996 ‘Yukon mothership’, widely considered one of Canada’s best UFO cases ever. Tim Printy also began combing the UFO literature for correspondences, and published more such cases of the same pattern. This Hawaii event seems a fitting impetus to summarize how mature – and finally persuasive – the reentry swarm fireball explanation has become with accumulation of similar cases, for SOME examples of a particular type of “UFO report” stimulus.

1130x/2020 Hawaii UFO Mothership RELEASE-2 23 My final estimate of the trajectory. I found that a somewhat higher altitude better matches the 32 sec exposure of the Atlas-1 all-sky image. My earlier trajectory passed about 69 km above Maui. This one does so at about 87 km. Its track is about 1 km north of the earlier one, which is not perceptible at the scale of the plots. However, it impacts about 1,000 kilometres farther east, which is perceptible. I am certain that it passed over Maui, because the Atlas-1 camera is on Maui, and the track on the image it captured culminated at an elevation of about 87 degrees, i.e. almost exactly overhead. That constrains the analysis very well. Molczan final plot

Witnesses on the Island of Hawaii should have seen it pass in their northern sky, from left to right. Witnesses on the islands north of Maui, should have seen it pass in their southern sky, from right to left. I've seen a report with video of what looks like debris coming into the atmosphere, it has flame trails. so, for what I saw; (I did not take video) I will say, what I saw looked nothing like the video with the flame trails, yes, that video looks like debris coming into earth, its on fire it looks like a completely different event from what I/we saw, there are several other videos out there with just the lights moving slowly through the sky, no flames... it was traveling slowly across the sky, it passed very lowly overhead, in mililani.. if that were debris, I estimate it would be 150' above the deck, but lets say I was off by a factor of 10 and it was actually 1500', then it would have been even larger, and traveling very close to the ground through densely populated areas..

…. I live in waikoloa hawaii and experienced these orbs up close and personal for over a minute and a half. I spent hours today writing a lengthy description on Mufon.com of what had to be the coolest moment in my life. These orbs had no trail behind them and they moved very slow across my neighbors house. I would love to believe that a rocket booster flew over the top of me because I'm a reasonable person who comes to reasonable conclusions. I do not believe it was some alien craft. I went back and looked at rocket booster re-entry videos and this was not the same. It was super low, it flew beneath the 5,700 ft west Maui Mountains and headed directly over the airport. I live right at 400ft and it flew over the top of me, some of the video is shot from Makawao and it shows the unknown object flying north almost level with their 1,500ft elevation. This put the object right around a half mile in the air. This is why it was so odd that it was silent. You mean to tell me that the US military doesn't know exactly what's in the skies of one of its most highly prized military strongholds in the Pacific ocean? I find it really odd that scientists are able to pinpoint down to minute when a solar eclipse will be, but they were unable to pinpoint the re-entry of this object. It infuriated a lot of people that the Maui Now news organization brought out an observatory scientist who didn't see the object to "speculate" as to what it was. It was going way too slow. The lights weren't burning off but blinking in unison as an operated craft would have. There were thousands of lights on the object and the adjacent lights gave the unknown object a massive wingspan that I don't see in any of the rocket booster videos. This is upsetting because people basically brushed this off and just said "oh, it must have been a rocket booster." If there are a few things I can rule out, it's that it wasn't a rocket booster, it wasn't starlink, or drones... I have no idea what it was, I can make no assumptions other than a military blimp of some kind. Please think about what this is like.... you witness this first hand, and then a bunch of people try to jump out of the woodwork and tell you/explain to you what you saw and what they are describing doesn't correspond with what you witnessed. Pretty frustrating. I got goosebumps because I thought it was 20-30 nukes heading to the mainland. It was like 20 or more shooting stars moving in silent slow motion. It left a smoke/vapor trail across the whole sky and took about a minute to fly across the sky. Definitely not a craft, none of the "burning objects"/"shooting stars" burned out they just headed along a straigjt path. Record and report location, direction to event, angular size and speed [one fist- width at arm’s length is 10 degrees], duration [sing a favorite song stanza and count how many repetitions, then clock-time a replay later]. Note any celestial bodies [moon, constellation, bright star/planet] the object passed near. if possible, return to site with a compass [or map] to recreate azimuth to start/stop of the observed path. Minimize as far as possible analogies to previous experiences or movies or other narratives, because opening that memory channel often inadvertently allows OTHER features of the compared-to memory to piggy-back into the memory of the triggering event.

Two "huge" oblong objects -- each surrounded by a haze of light -- passed directly overhead heading southeast into the state of Missouri. Lights or lighted openings extended the full length of the objects and they were visible for about three minutes, moving very slowly…. • At about 9:03 pm and 70 miles northeast of Climax Springs, two adults, in separate vehicles, were driving west on Highway 50, 10 miles east of Lynn, Missouri. In the distance they observed a pair of "big" white lights moving about 50 to 100 mph at very low altitude. As the lights got closer, the two witnesses could see that they were part of an oblong vehicle of some kind. Mr. T.H., 34, gave the following description of what he saw: "It was moving slow and was never more than 100 feet off the ground. It crossed Highway 50 and was about 200 feet from the roadway on the South side. Suddenly it stopped, and we watched the thing hover about 100 feet off the ground. Then it lowered itself real easy into the woods. We stopped and watched it for a little while but decided not to walk over and look at it. There was no sound. We decided it was time to get back into the car and go on about our business. A man in a white pickup truck had also stopped and he was still there as we were leaving." Two adult witnesses in St. Louis reported seeing three "missile-shaped" objects with a surface like stainless steel move across the sky. In Chesterfield, a suburb of St. Louis, Mr. T.B. reported that he and several friends watched three oblong objects in the sky for five to six minutes. They looked like "slender Goodyear blimps." Shortly after the reported landing near Lynn, another close encounter occurred about 200 miles to the North in Iowa. Mr. M.L., 24, who has a farm at Oskaloosa, was out in a field just west of his house riding a three-wheeler at 9:15 pm, when an object with lights came over the top of the trees and stopped right over him. At that point the lights on the object went out. "I was at a dead stop," M.L. said. I shined my wheat light up into the air, about 50 to 60 feet, and the beam from the light hit the surface of the object. It was shiny and reflected off the bottom of it. It was like stainless steel of some kind. It was just a big shiny object, at least 80 to 100 feet long and 40 to 60 feet wide. I didn't hear any motor noise at all. It sat there for a minute then it took off to the southeast of my place. When it took off it didn't have any lights on. Then when it got off quite a ways the lights came on. There were three lights down one side of it and it had bright streaks shooting out the back of it."

How, exactly, do you account for this 3 hour discrepancy in sightings?

I would guess this was the same decay observed from Florida. • He claims that it was "fat". Is this possible? I could understand the contrail having some perceptible diameter, but he claims that even the re-entering object itself had a perceptible diameter to it. Was this an optical illusion, or what? Or given the angle ("it was headed directly away from me") was he merely seeing the contrail at a shallow angle? • REPLY - Yes, this fits reasonably well with the final OIG elset. Using rough co-ordinates of 29.9 N and 90.1 W, I get a pass culminating at 4:01 CDT, 46 deg elevation in the NE, headed SE. If I force the pass 7 minutes late, then it goes overhead at those co-ordinates. Since the object was very low, and New Orleans and suburbs is large, the exact sky-path would be strongly dependent on one's exact location.

I must say that the reports that Peter Davenport was getting from Tampa of an object altering direction and in view long enough for someone to allegedly video tape does not sound like an object traveling at 17,000 mph without any sort of intelligent guidance. Moreover, unsubstantiated reports on the show by a clergyman of F-16s being scrambled from McDill AFB and some coming back damaged create even more of a mystery. And why are "Russian" boosters all of a sudden falling across US territory?? That last "booster" (item # 25761) which fell over the Western part of the country wasn't even in NORADS catalog! It was very bright in terms of what look like a jet engine when you see it from a rear view. The yellow tail stream (flames) were about twice the length of a fighter from Sheppard. It was bright and very obvious. It traveled southward about Jolly Bellevue line going significantly faster than the pilots normally fly. It went dark about Lake Arrowhead - Scotland. Normal flight patterns would have been above it. Time was 22:02. Rarely, witnesses to satellite reentry fireball swarms report the apparent object was projecting SEARCHLIGHT BEAMS, sweeping the skies near them and ground below. One clue MIGHT be that the reentries that create the most dramatic apparitions are NOT run-of-the-mill satellites. Once Ted Molczan and I got a long-enough candidate list of 'best’ reentry-UFO perceptions, I noticed they were almost all Russian upper stage rockets. Not payloads or window covers or jettisoned trash cans, but big, hulking conglomerations of engines, heavy support bracing, and tanks -- many of which might be not entirely empty. Would they, as they heated during descent, spray fluids through broken valves or hull cracks And that far up, near the Karman Boundary [80-100 km] there isn’t enough air to be visible in a light beam, it has to be something MATERIAL – but since these events were in Earth’s shadow, what was illuminating the ‘beams’? This is an unpredicted and so far inexplicable feature that the DATA has insisted we accept as REAL whether it's in accord with our going-in models or not. That's what I find so wonderful about raw data when assessed scrupulously -- it can slap you in the face with surprises.
