Overview

Welcome to your perfect country getaway. Sitting snug in the charming and gentle Kindmore End by the picturesque village duck pond with willow tree. The red brick house is ideal for a family holiday, surrounded by a spacious lawn with kids climbing frame, trampoline and walled orchard with mature fruit trees bearing apples, pears, and plums. The local pub is a short 2-minute stroll from the house, perfect for an easy Sunday lunch.

Recently refurbished, Pond House offers a sophisticated interior. Guests can expect a wonderful blend of old and new; period features are dotted around the home with contemporary finishes and heaps of technology.

The welcoming home has a calming interior. The ground floor is adorned with wooden floors, wood burning stoves, comfortable furniture, and a neutral and relaxing colour palette. The modern fitted kitchen is an engaging space, perfect for casual breakfast. Large glass door opens directly onto the stone terrace that beautifully wraps around the back of the property. The terrace is the spot to take full advantage of the picturesque garden and enjoy a BBQ.

There is a smart and comfortable living room, running the full length of the property with a piano. The adjoining cinema room in sumptuous dark tones with cosy velvet seating is prefect on cold winter evenings. A study with laptop friendly workspace, family room and utility room are also located on the ground floor.

The first floor consists of five bedrooms, the master bedroom with a super king- size bed and en-suite bathroom, two bedrooms with double beds, a quad room with two bunk bed and a baby bedroom with cot. Outside guests can soak up the stunning views from the terrace enjoy a BBQ or play a game of football on the lawn.

The immediate countryside is lovely, providing a rich mix of activities, marvellous walks, riding, and wild swimming in the Thames. There are many nearby attractions including historic houses to visit such as Basildon Park, Nuffield Place and Henley-on-Thames. Pond House is both an idealistic weekend retreat for those wishing to escape from the hustle and bustle of London, and a perfect base for a country mini break.

At Pond House you are ideally located to explore the historic villages and towns surrounding Reading and Oxford. There is plenty to keep eceryone busy, with beautiful walks by the River Thames, golf at one of the many local course or a visit to the Reading Abbey Ruins. Not to mention the countless wonderful gastro pubs.

For those in search of something extra special, Ascot and Windsor racecourses and the Henley Royal Regatta, all of which are guaranteed to provide an unforgettable day’s entertainment!

Windsor Castle, a beautiful and historic castle, most of which is open to the public – a perfect day out for all ages! Enjoy the vast and striking rooms, hung with tapestries and coats of arms, and the beautiful grounds, with fantastic views! For an even more relaxing day, the fantastic course at Wentworth Golf club is nearby.

The lovely town of Marlow is brimming with independent and fascinating shops and boutiques, as well as lots of cafés, bars and restaurants. The village of Bray is a must visit for food lovers, home to two Michelin star restaurants, firstly the Roux brothers’ ‘Waterside Inn’ and, secondly, and Heston Blumenthal’s ‘The Fat Duck’ – both well worth a try!
