Instituted by the K K Birla Foundation in 1991, Bihari Puraskar is given annually for an outstanding literary work in Hindi or Rajasthani published during last 10 years by a Rajasthani writer. In Nainital, Uttarakhand, first eco-bridge for smaller mammals has been built. Union Cabinet has given its approval for Provision of Submarine Optical Fibre Cable Connectivity between Mainland (Kochi) and Lakshadweep Islands (KLI Project). G Kishan Reddy inaugurated the National Centre for Divyang Empowerment (NCDE) at the CRPF Group Centre in Hakimpet, Medchal, Telangana.
