A quick trip to return my daughter’s DVD brought me face to rear hatch with a Gremlin. The little four place coupe was parked in a handicapped spot in front of the Indepen- dence Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. After a glance, I knew I needed to return to my truck for the digital camera and a club tri-fold. Thanks to all those who have taken the time to pass along club information at cruise ins and car events that you attend. It’s great that the club receiver contacts from people who use their technology to find the club. BUT… you can’t beat that personal touch in winning new members Please carry a copy of the club tri-fold application in your vehicles just in case. I shot these pictures and put the car under my microscope vision. Both body and interior were in great condition. I placed the club folder under the wiper and went in to take of my library busi- ness. Car was still there when I left. A few days later at the local parts store the counter men mentioned the Gremmie. But, they weren’t aware of the car’s owner. As of this mo- ment I haven’t gotten a call inquiring about club membership. Oh well, maybe next time. Contact Exhaust Notes Information... The weather channel was dotted with colors that indicated wetness and minor miseries for Sunday June 13th 2010. North Coast AMC was without the totally beautiful weather that we enjoyed for the first two at- tempts at “School’s Out”. A phone call from the show field at 8:00 am inquired “is the show still on?” We knew we were off and running. We started preparations early and made ar- rangements with the mayor’s office to have the show a week later this year. (Unfortunately we only later dis- covered that the Mopar car show at Junction featuring Scott Campbell (Head judge) located a few AMCs was scheduled on the same date). We filed our brave volunteers to judge. We tip our hats to Scott’s paper work with the national club in a timely manner. crew which included Ken Walker, John Eacott and Club members met in January and again in March to Casey and Chris McGowen. accept input from as many members as possible as we At one o’clock the photographers were admit- put together the event. At- tendees seemed to be much thirstier this year. Shaune Zavertnik set up the registration booth. And across the way, Bob Keister provided musical entertainment for the show. Richard Estermyer set up his Tee shirt and other 70s AMC automobilia tent. (Thanks to Richard for donating a number of door prizes for the show.)
