KMB Cross Harbour Routes Lucky Draw

Terms and Conditions:

1. Participant of the KMB Lucky Draw 2020 (the “Lucky Draw”) must be aged 18 or above. Each participant must use an or Octopus product as mentioned in point 5 to take cross harbor routes1 of The Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited (“KMB”).

2. There are 4 rounds of Lucky Draw and promotion period of each Luck Draw round is as follows:-  29 June 2020 (00:00) to 5 July (23:59) 2020;  6 July 2020 (00:00) to 12 July (23:59) 2020;  13 July 2020 (00:00) to 19 July (23:59) 2020; and  20 July 2020 (00:00) to 26 July (23:59) 2020

3. In each Lucky Draw round, a total of 1,000 winners will be drawn randomly by computer. Each winner will win a KMB Monthly Pass Octopus Card with a KMB Monthly Pass, together worth HK$1,030. In each Lucky Draw round, each eligible Octopus card or Octopus product may only win a prize once. The prize value is based on the retail standard price and all prices are subject to change according to promotional offers without prior notice.

4. Lucky Draw Rules: -

i) During each Lucky Draw round, passengers using a registered Octopus card or Octopus product will earn 1 promotion point for each single ride on KMB’s cross harbour routes (please refer to Annex 1). The promotion point for the registered Octopus card or Octopus product will not affect the deduction of bus fare or any bus fare rebate; ii) During each Lucky Draw Round, one Lucky Draw chance will be given to passengers once a total of 3 points are accumulated, a second Lucky Draw chance will be given once a total of 6 points are accumulated, and a third Lucky Draw chance will be given once a total of 9 points are accumulated. During each Lucky Draw Round, each Octopus card or Octopus product may be given up to three Lucky Draw chances; iii) The Octopus card number of 1,000 prize winners will be drawn randomly by computer; iv) The results will be calculated once at the end of each Lucky Draw round;

Participants can enter each Lucky Draw during the respective promotion period by registering the valid Octopus card or Octopus product2 through the KMB App 1933. Each participant can register more than one Octopus card or Octopus product. Octopus cards or Octopus products that are not registered during the respective promotion period will not earn any promotion points during the promotion period.

6. Results of the Lucky Draw will be announced in the KMB App 1933 starting on 14 July 2020 as follows:-  1st round starting from 14 July 2020;  2nd round starting from 21 July 2020;  3rd round starting from 28 July 2020; and  4th round starting from 4 August 2020 The result of each round will also be announced in Sing Tao Daily and on 22 July 2020, 29 July 2020, 5 August 2020 and 12 August 2020 respectively. Lucky Draw Results announced in the KMB App 1933 shall prevail and shall be final. Winners who do not redeem the Lucky Draw prize by 31 August 2020 will forfeit the prize.

7. Prize redemption: - Starting from 14 July 2020, the holder of the prize winning Octopus card or Octopus product can call the number 3406 7456 from Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays): 0900-1230 and 1430-1700) for redemption details.

8. This promotion is not applicable to (i) Child Octopus and (ii) various types of Octopus entitling the holders to travel on buses free of charge. The rebate transaction when alighting is not entitled to earn any point of this promotion.

9. This Lucky Draw promotion is not applicable to any Octopus cards or Octopus products with a valid KMB monthly ticket during the promotion period.

10. The prize must be redeemed by the winner at the designated place within the specified time. Delegation for prize redemption is not accepted. The prize winner must show the registered prize winning Octopus card or Octopus product as proof. If the prize winner cannot show the prize winning Octopus card or Octopus product, KMB has the right to forfeit the prize. KMB has the right to register the personal information of the prize winner, including but not limited to name, ID card number and Octopus card number.

11. The registered Octopus card or Octopus product provided by the prize winner will not be accepted if it is not whole, broken, tampered with or drawn on, or a photocopy. KMB reserves the right to cancel the eligibility of the prize winners.

12. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. Prize winners agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the prize3. KMB shall not be responsible for any consequences due to the redemption or use of the prizes.

13. KMB is not liable for any property losses or damages or personal injuries caused by any person who obtains or uses the prize.

14. During the Lucky Draw, if, as a result of any computer, network, telephone or technical issues or any other issue which are not attributed to the fault of KMB, the registered data of any participant or prize winner or winning notification sent out by KMB are lost, inaccurate, unidentifiable or damaged resulting in invalid data, KMB shall not be liable and shall have the final decision.

15. In the interest of fairness, the employees of KMB and its agency, retired employees and their family members are not eligible for the Lucky Draw.

16. In the event of dispute, the decision of KMB shall be final.

Any personal data provided by you to The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is voluntary. However, KMB may not be able to process or accept your request, application or enrollment if insufficient personal information is supplied.

Your personal data will be used for processing your Lucky Draw registration and eligibility to win a prize from the Lucky Draw;

b. Classes of transferees

Your personal data will only be disclosed to our authorized employees, agents or contractors who provide services to us under a duty of confidentiality;

c. Safety of personal data

All reasonable efforts are made to ensure that any personal data held by us is stored in a secure and safe place, and accessed only by our authorized employees or authorized third party service providers. The personal data you provide to us will be kept by us in the appropriate form only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes mentioned above after which it will be destroyed in 90 days.
