COURT OF SOCIAL REGULATIONS The general purpose of the Court of Social Regula- tions is to offer firm justice and sympathetic under- standing in all major social offenses. The Court, consisting of one chairman and eight voting mem- bers, fulfills this purpose each year as the students become aware of the responsibility associated with freedom. HDNDR COURT Honor Court, which is a branch of the Student Government Association, handles all major honor offenses. By offering to the student body a court of firm justice tempered with sympathetic under- standing, the members endeavor to perpetuate ideals of the Honor Policy on this campus. NATIONAL STUDENTS ASSOCIATION After reorganizing the National Students Associa- tion on the Woman's College campus last year the president and its members function as a connecting link between our Student Government and the regional and national organizations of N.S.A. Through meetings with other N.S.A. groups, the && Association promotes an opportunity for a sharing of ideas that will improve international affairs, educational opportunities, and student welfare on our campus and other member campuses. Page 22 LEGISLATURE "The Legislature shall have the power to make all rules and regulations which shall be necessary and proper for the government and for the best interest of the Student Government Association and all subdivisions thereof." GDLDEN CHAIN Golden Chain is an honorary organization that seeks to recognize those students who have been outstanding in the qualities embodied in its seven golden links — leadership, scholarship, service, judgment, tolerance, magna- nimity, and character. It is a unique organization on a unique campus. Golden Chain does more than confer honor. It offers campus leaders the opportunity to unite in order to render still further service. Delegation Chairman Page 26 CONSOLIDATED UNIVERSITY COUNCIL The Consolidated University Council of the University of North Carolina is a body of students representing the joint interests of the 17,000 students in the three schools which constitute the Greater University. The Council is not a governing body and has no legislative authority other than over projects initiated by the Council itself. Projects are undertaken which benefit all students and are of vital importance to them. C.U. Delegation in a session at Wo , College. SERVICE LEAGUE The Service League strives to aid those who are less fortunate in this country and abroad. The Purse Drive, a combination Care, Cancer, Heart, Foreign Student, World University Service Contribution Fund, is conducted each year. Active participation is urged by dorm and class rivalries.
