Since then, their famous red, white and blue colours have become a familiar sight on racecourses around • Fee: £5,000 p 6-7 the world. Music Boy carried their silks to victory in 1975, when winning the Windsor Castle Stakes and the Gimcrack Stakes, Group 2. Having retired to stand at Cheveley Park Stud, he became Leading First Crop Sire from a small book of mares and this set the scene for the future. PIVOTAL Multiple Champion Sire and Broodmare Sire Very much part of that future has been the contribution to the thoroughbred industry made by the Thompsons’ homebred, the • Fee: Private p 8-9 ‘mighty’ PIVOTAL. Trained by Sir Mark Prescott Bt and ridden by George Duffield, PIVOTAL gave the Thompson family their first Group 1 success in their own silks. Twenty-four years on, his influence continues to delight, enthral and intrigue his followers around the world. In 2019, Avilius and Siyarafina added to his impressive total of Group 1 winners which now stands at thirty. TWILIGHT SON Dual Gr.1 winning sprinter Neither should we ignore the eight individual Group 1 winners his daughters have produced, including our own Veracious, winner • Fee: £7,000 p 10-11 of the Falmouth Stakes. To cap it all, five of PIVOTAL’s sons standing at stud have themselves sired Group 1 winners. Another horse looking to perpetuate the highly successful PIVOTAL sireline is his grandson, TWILIGHT SON, who was a dual Group 1 winner in his own right. His first crop of yearlings were most positively received in the sales ring, making up to ULYSSES By a Derby winner, out of an Oaks winner 130,000 guineas, and we now await his first runners in 2020 with interest. • Fee: £15,000 p 12-13 ULYSSES, by Galileo, is a dual Group 1 winner whose first crop are yearlings in 2020 and they certainly look promising. Winner of both the Coral Eclipse Stakes and the Juddmonte International Stakes, he covered another strong book of over a hundred mares in his second season, so we look forward to the future full of confidence. UNFORTUNATELY Gr.1 winning Champion 2yo MAYSON, by Invincible Spirit, has had another solid season with over 20% of his runners rated 85 or above. With 19 Black Type • Fee: €5,500 Standing at: SPRINGFIELD HOUSE STUD p 14-15 horses to date, including the Listed placed Oxted, the future continues to look very bright. DUTCH ART is enjoying his partial retirement and, although his fertility has waned, he remains in good heart and may cover a DUTCH ART Proven sire of three Gr.1 winning sprinters dozen or so mares, as he did in 2019. On the racecourse he has had another stellar year, with Group success through Positive, winner of the Solario Stakes, Group 3, bred and sold by Cheveley Park Stud, and Group 1 winner Mabs Cross, who excelled • Fee: Private p 16 when winning the Palace House Stakes, Group 3. In addition, DUTCH ART was responsible for our homebred fillies Exhort All fees payable 1st October, Special Live Foal Terms. and Perfection, both of whom won Listed races, with the latter being Group 3 placed. The decision to relocate our Group 1 winner UNFORTUNATELY to Ireland was an easy one and we are delighted that Reddy and Linda Coffey – a family with whom we have been associated for nearly thirty years – have agreed to stand the horse for us at their Springfield House Stud from 2020. We look forward to seeing UNFORTUNATELY’s first foals in 2020 and to supporting him further with our own mares, as he certainly was a lightning fast two-year-old. On the racing front, Cheveley Park Stud has had another very good year, with Veracious winning the Falmouth Stakes, Group 1 and then finishing second in the Sun Chariot Stakes, Group 1. Dark Lady won the Shadwell Dick Poole Stakes, Group 3. Regal Reality won the Brigadier Stakes, Group 3, and then finished a very respectable third behind Enable and Magical in the Coral Eclipse, Group 1. From the horses we sold, Advertise continued his Group 1 successes, winning both the Commonwealth Cup and the Prix Maurice de Gheest, whilst Molatham won the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes and looks something special for the future. I would like to thank all our loyal breeders for their continued support and invite you to contact us direct to discuss your mating plans for 2020. We look forward to hearing from you. Nunca he entendido esa apreciación.

STALLIONS 2017 STALLIONS 2017 Your Key to Success Welcome to Rathbarry & Glenview Studs 2017 Dear Breeders, The nature of the bloodstock industry is that each and every year brings fresh challenges as well STALLIONS 2017 as new achievements and 2016 has been no different. The main concern is that there has been increased catalogue sizes to cater for a larger foal crop of 2015, so the necessity for breeders to focus on quality and value is more important than ever. Happily we have witnessed another fantastic year for ACCLAMATION’s progeny on the track with 17 Black Type performers including Group 1 Prix de l’Abbaye winner MARSHA and Dual Group 2 winning 2-Y-O MEHMAS. LIMATO has again proved a great advertisement for TAGULA in 2016, when competing at the highest level. He was successful in Group 1 July Cup and Group 1 Prix de la Foret and we look forward to even more successes for him in 2017.
