Public & Community Transport Updates Updated 25th August 2020

All public transport operators have now increased services. As other restrictions are still in place there are fewer seats available and it’s mandatory to wear a face covering on all public transport. Public Transport Buses/coaches

Shiel Buses are now operating all rural and local services to pre-lockdown timetables. They are also operating to School Day (SD) timings. More info here - http://shielbuses.co.uk/

Citylink are operating regular services to , Skye and which are more similar to winter timetables. There are four round trips daily between Fort William and Glasgow and three round trips daily between Fort William and Skye. West Coast Motors have returned their service between and Fort William to two round trips per day Monday to Saturday.

Ferries

The Camusnagaul Ferry are operating a full service. Times are now as follows: Monday to Depart Fort William 07.30, 10.15 12.20 16.15 Saturday Depart Camusnagaul 08.15, 10.30 12.30 16.35 There is a limited departure at 17.30 from Fort William, this is request only and must be booked by 16.30.

Community Transport

Lochaber Community Car Scheme are providing their regular service. This includes taking their registered clients out in cars again. There have extra safety measures for passengers such as wearing masks and sitting in the back seat of cars. Collecting shopping and prescriptions for those shielding or feel they don’t want to go out yet will continue.
