Here are the results of the book sale on July 11 by the numbers: 28 books were sold. 3 members attended to help sell the books (Gail Beaton and Debra Faulkner deserve a round of applause for making this happen in the first place!) 6 non-members/friends came to shop. 2 members came to shop. $500* was raised to fund future Archives Committee projects. *we are currently pursuing other opportunities to sell and donate the remainder of the books, which could mean additional revenue. eConnect Volunteer Needed This newsletter, which serves to remind members and friends of upcoming in-person and virtual events, promote the work of members, and share other news such as job postings and more, needs a new editor. The eConnect is currently sent out approximately every other week, but the frequency can be changed as needed. If you are interested in taking on this role, please contact Mindy Sink, 2021-22 DWPC President at [email protected]. New Membership Chair! Kristin Rust has joined the 2021-22 DWPC board as Membership Chair. She will serve as a liaison between members who have a friend who is interested in joining our club and guiding them through their application process. Joining the board is a terrific way to get to know members! While Kristin learns the ropes, please contact Mindy Sink at [email protected] with any questions about membership. There are details about joining on the website, https://dwpconline.org/join/. Membership Dues Are Due Paying your DWPC membership dues has never been simpler! Pay now to be sure you are included in the next Yearbook. You should have received an invoice via email to pay, or you can go to the website, or you can send a check to the clubhouse. If you need any information on your dues amount or how to pay, please contact DWPC Treasurer Marcia Goldstein [email protected] or 303-324-7865. And thank you! Save the Date: Garden Party The DWPC Annual Garden Party is slated for Thurs., Sept. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at the clubhouse. This event is usually held to introduce potential new members to the club and we'd like to continue this tradition while also re-connecting with one another. There will be some modifications to food and drink and lots of time in the lovely garden. More details to come.... Join the DWPC Garden Committee The clubhouse has what realtors call "curb appeal" in large part thanks to Garden Chair Mell McDonnell who has worked for years to maintain the trees and flowers we all enjoy here. Now it's time to grow the number of people who work on the garden! This is a seasonal commitment and a chance to get to know your fellow members. Please contact Mell McDonnell at [email protected] or 303-698- 2264 to find out more or to volunteer.
