Silver Spring Dr., Whitefish Bay PARKING AND FESTIVAL ACCESS Official parking is available for $7 per car on Lagoon Drive. To park here, follow the signs traveling north on Lincoln Memorial Drive and turn right onto Lagoon. A complimentary shuttle will provide continuous transpiration to and from the parking area as well as the South festival entrance. Attendees can park their bikes for free in the Festival’s bike corral, located inside the south Festival entrance. Parking is also available for a fee at O’Donnell Park (enter from Lincoln Memorial Drive). Learn how to properly care for your art with tips on such key issues as safe handling, maintenance, storage, climate control, and display. 3:00 p.m. Fiber Art Fashion Show Hosted by Milwaukee Magazine Shopaholic and Savvy Style columnist Colleen Heather Rogan, the stunning fashion spectacular will feature unique fiber art fashions and one-of-a-kind garments, coats, scarves, and other imaginative fiber wearables for day and evening created by LFOA artists. 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Fat Pig Fat Pig has been bringing their particular brand of acoustic rock to the Milwaukee scene for about three years, covering material from the Velvet Underground to Elmore James. Their subtle and jazzy arrangements reward careful listening while their provocative song list and fun loving attitude has earned them a diverse and growing legion of fans. Children’s Stage 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. One Mohr Production Presents Mother Goose and her Sidekick, Gertrude the Goose On sabbatical from 16 th century England, Mother Goose will entertain with rhymes, riddles, songs and show off Gertrude’s talent as a budding artist. 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Sunset Playhouse School for the Arts “bug in a rug” Theatre Presents Love, Ruby Valentine An original play based on Laurie Friedman’s popular children’s book. Their special acoustic set for the Lakefront Festival of Arts is also sure to impress! Flute/whistle player John Coletta is one of the best "hands" players in the world. This is American home-style music at its finest with eclectic flavors and international spice. The energy and excitement of their live performances are derived from the broad diversity of their music, from traditional Asian folk tunes to Tex-Mex stylings, Caribbean rhythms to American songbook covers and Americana roots. Children’s Stage 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Bob Kahn A master storyteller with comedy juggling and music for all ages. 3:00-4:00 p.m. The Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa. Inc. Presents Mr. Popper’s Penguins The unexpected delivery of a large crate containing an Antarctic penguin changes the life and fortunes of Mr. Popper, a house painter obsessed by dream of the Polar Regions. SUNDAY, JUNE 21 Festival Hours: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Milwaukee Art Museum Hours : 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Main Stage Noon - 1:30 p.m. Adekola Adedapo and friends A group dedicated to straight-ahead, bebop and Afro/Cuban-influenced music. Featuring jazzmaster Berkeley Fudge, with the vocal stylings of Adekola. 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. Streetlife with Warren Wiegratz A unique blend of R&B, smooth jazz, and contemporary styles, combining superb musicianship and vocals with an exciting state presence. They have been honored numerous times by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards (WAMI) with such distinctions as “Best Adult Contemporary Group” and “Best Contemporary Jazz Group” in Wisconsin. Be sure your visit also includes a stop at Kohl’s Art Generation Color Wheels —a mobile art experience that’s like an extension of the Milwaukee Art Museum, where kids not only take part in fun projects, but also grow and learn through art. The Color Wheels van will be on-site at LFOA throughout the Festival weekend. College Art Show Sponsored by Marty and Alice Krebs The 19 th annual Collegiate Art Competition will display jury selected works completed by some of our region’s most talented art students from 11 area colleges and universities. A total of $250 in merchandise certificates will be awarded for excellence and creativity, courtesy of Artist and Display Supply, Inc. Fiber Art Fashion Show A taste of Fashion Week comes to the LFOA Main Stage Friday and Saturday afternoons at 3pm! Hosted by Milwaukee Magazine Shopaholic Columnist Colleen Heather Rogan, the stunning fashion spectacular will feature unique fiber art fashions and one-of-a-kind garments, coats, scarves, and other imaginative fiber wearables for day and evening created by LFOA artists. All items in the Fiber Art Fashion Show will be available for sale following the event. Visit participating artists’ booths following the show for your chance to make these creations your own!
