WINGS OVER THE ROCKIES’ MISSION IS TO EDUCATE AND INSPIRE PEOPLE OF ALL AGES ABOUT AVIATION AND SPACE ENDEAVORS OF THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE. 2 LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Friends, Donors, Members, and Volunteers of Wings Over the Rockies: It is my pleasure to share with you our 2019 Annual Report . I am proud to lead this great organization to deliver its mission to “educate and inspire people of all ages about aviation and space endeavors of the past, present and future ”. This year, as always, I am thrilled to share the great news of our achievements and impact . 2019 marks the third year in a row of incredible growth for Colorado’s Official Air & Space Museum. From increasing attendance 22% since 2018; to hosting eight days of Apollopalooza celebrations honoring the moon landing; to bringing Behind the Wings to 6 7. MILLION viewers online and countless more in homes in 19 states and 44 PBS markets, Wings delivers the most exciting opportunities to enjoy and engage in aerospace . Last year, our Lowry hangar welcomed legends Apollo 11 Director Gene Kranz and Astronaut and Senator Harrison Schmitt, in addition to hosting the 2019 National Aviation Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony . At Exploration of Flight (EOF), our second site on Centennial Airport, we dedicated the Clay Lacy Field of Dreams Flight Ramp, hosted dozens of guest aircraft as part of our Weekend Showcases, flew hundreds of teachers and students through our Young Eagles and Teacher Flight Programs, and established an Aerospace Middle School on our EOF Campus . As always, we are honored and inspired by your support . We look forward and seek opportunities to grow and enrich the aerospace landscape, particularly through our effort to establish the great Rocky Mountain state as Colorado’s Aerospace Alley . Aerospace Alley celebrates innovation, champions our local aerospace economy, provides opportunities for our educators and students, and creates ambassadors to tell our story to the world . We hope you will join us as this exciting new initiative unfolds in 2020 and beyond . As I reflect on our successes of 2019, I am continually impressed with the dedication of our staff and the leadership of our Board of Directors . And, we could not be recognized as a top 10 Aviation Museum in United States by USA Today or be listed in the top 20 Aerospace Museums in the World by CNN without your contributions and backing . Thank you again for your unwavering support and for sharing the thrill of flight with others.

John L . Barry, Maj . Gen, USAF (Ret)
