DEARFELLOW-MEMBERS,- The past year has been, for our Association, one of steady progress. Forty-three new members have joined during the year, raising our total to 268; and what is especially pleasing is that so many of these recruits were at the School before the War. There was a proportionate increase in numbers at the Third Annual Dinner last January, when 63 attended. I look forward to the time when more than a hundred of us will sit down to dinner every year. We have carried out the usual programme this year- terminal Re-unions, Dances, two Football XI.’s, one Cricket XI., a Miniature Rifle Club, and a Badminton Club. These activities have all been reported in the School Magazine, The chief innovation has been the launching of the Insurance Scheme, of which every member by now has heard. At the Annual General Meeting the Insurance Bureau was empowered to modify the Scheme so as to put all the business into the hand of one Company, the Royal Exchange. Will members please bear in mind that the object of this Scheme is to swell the funds of the Association, and will they do their best to support it? I should perhaps add that it is felt that the time has come to consider other ways and means of enlarging the Special Fund; and a Sub-Committee has been appointed to explore the possibilities and report to the General Meet- ing. May I conclude by thanking all members for their loyal support of the Association and by appealing to them to continue that support, SO that, as the years go by, out of our union will come strength-a strength which will be of incalculable service to the School which we love.
