ABSTRACT Based on literature data and own observations made in 10 out of 11 islands of the Fourni complex (eastern Ae- gean, Greece), seven reptile taxa are known to occur on this Archipelago. The presence of Hemidactylus turcicus was not known before. Concerning the most abundant forms, densities of individuals observed in the various habitat types are presented. Highest densities were observed in the maquis vegetation. The spectrum of reptile species is compara- tively poor and indicates close affinities to the herpetofauna of the eastern Aegean and Dodecanese islands.
