PLAY-BY-PLAY — RYAN FANNON Stepping back behind the play-by-play microphone for Wildcat basket- ball in 2003-2004 is Ryan Fannon. This 1993 Villanova graduate has been a member of the broadcast team for ten years. He assumed the play-by-play reins for the 1998-99 basketball season after serving as host for the pregame and postgame shows in the previous four campaigns. The native of Alexandria, Va., also serves as the color commentator on Villanova football broadcasts. Fannon makes his home in his native Virginia.

COLOR COMMENTARY — WHITEY RIGSBY Former standout guard Whitey Rigsby enters his 24th season as a mem- ber of the broadcast team in 2003-04. As a player from 1974-78 and a three-year starter, Rigsby tallied 393 assists during his career. Those efforts earned Rigsbyaspot in the Wildcat Hall of Fame in 1995. As a broadcaster, Rigsby helped call the Wildcats’ 1985 NCAA and 1994 NIT Championships. In January 2000 Rigsby joined the Villanova athletic department on a full-time basis as the first director of the Block V Club. The Block V Club raised $2.1 million in 2002-03 and $5.1 million since its inception. Rigsby and his wife Becky (Villanova, class of 1979),who make their home in Malvern, Pa., are the parents of seven children: Deborah (22) Rob, Jr. (21); Frederick (19); Mary (17); Butch (15); Joseph (13) and John (6).
