Our processes will remain a high priority, including the way we prepare Communion and clean our building, to keep us all as safe and healthy as possible. I am truly grateful that we can take responsible steps toward a reopening that strengthens our community! IN-PERSON TICKETS SAINTMICHAEL.ORG/INPERSONWORSHIP This great season of Easter is an opportunity for us to go deeper in our own discipleship and I hope you have been praying with us each weekday through our Easter podcast series. Our Easter theme is Community: Rediscovering One Another. As we move STREAMING & ON DEMAND toward reopening and into a new future together, reconnecting SAINTMICHAEL.ORG/LIVE with one another gives us the unique opportunity to re-form our community with intentionality. Daily prayer is a great way to stay on that path together. I’m thrilled to report that we collected more than $30,000 in our Easter plate that will be divided equally among our mission partners: Austin Street Center, North Dallas Shared Ministries, and Amistad Mission (Bolivia). The money we collected will be a surprise gift to them as they continue to do wonderful work! We are also continuing to work together for the good of our most vulnerable neighbors this Easter season, including collecting new or gently saintmichael.org/chapelprayer used coats of all sizes to benefit St. Philip’s School and Community Center. Please drop off your coat donations in the collection bins located at the church’s South Entrance off of Colgate. Coats will be dry cleaned, stored, and distributed at the St. Philip’s annual Christmas Store in December. With great joy, If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our 24/7 priest-on-call line at (214) 232-7512. #SMAACARES If you need non-urgent pastoral support, please contact Katherine Bowen in the Pastoral Care department at [email protected]. Carolyn and Wyatt Rousseau The Word of God Standing Opening Song: Guide Me O My Great Redeemer Guide me, O my great Redeemer, pilgrim through this barren land; I am weak, but you are mighty; hold me with your powerful hand. Bread of heaven, bread of heaven, feed me now and evermore, feed me now and evermore. Open now the crystal fountain, where the healing waters flow. Let the fire and cloudy pillar lead me all my journey through. Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer, ever be my strength and shield, ever be my strength and shield. When I tread the verge of Jordan, bid my anxious fears subside. Death of death, and hell’s Destruction, land me safe on Canaan’s side. Songs of praises, songs of praises I will ever sing to you, Welcome The Opening Acclamation & Collect for Purity BCP 355 Celebrant Alleluia. Christ is risen. People The Lord is risen indeed. O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. The Lesson Revelation 21:1-6, 9-21 Seated Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourn- ing and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.” And the one who was seated on the throne said, “See, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Then he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Ome- ga, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water as a gift from the spring of the water of life. Lector The Word of the Lord. House of Fellowship Song Book 1 6 I Believe God The Water Way Key of A Key of F I believe God! I believe God! Long ago the maids drew water Ask what you will and it shall be done; In the evening time, they say Trust and obey, believe Him and say: One day Isaac sent his servant I believe, I believe God. To stop Rebekah on her way "My master sent me here to tell thee; And if you want salvation now See these jewels rich and rare; And the Holy Ghost and power, Would'st thou not his lovely bride be Just trust and obey, In that country over there?" Believe Him and say: I believe, I believe God. CHORUS It shall be light in the evening time, 2 The path to glory you will surely find; Reach Out, Touch The Lord Thru the water way, It is the light today, Key of F Buried in the precious Name of Jesus. Young and old, repent of all your sin, Reach out and touch the Lord The Holy Ghost will surely enter in; As He goes by, The evening Light has come, You'll find He's not too busy, It is a fact that God and Christ are one. To hear your heart's cry; He's passing by this moment, So, God's servants come to tell you Your needs to supply, Of a Bridegroom in the sky Reach out and touch the Lord Looking for a holy people As He goes by. To be his bride soon, by and by He sends to us refreshing water 3 In this wondrous latter day Feeling So Much Better They who really will be raptured Key of F Must go thru the water way Feeling so much better Are you on your way to ruin Talking about this good old Way, Cumbered with a load of care Feeling so much better See the quick work God is doing Talking about the Lord; That so his glory you may share Let's go on, let's go on At last the faith he once delivered Talking about this good old Way, To the saints, is ours today Let's go on, let's go on To get in the church triumphant Talking about the Lord.

Fundamental Baptist churches that are playing around with contemporary worship music have no idea what they are doing. They can mock the “critics” and label them “extremists”; they can hide behind shallow arguments to justify their actions; they can point to their bigness and success; they can profess their conservativeness and trot out their fundamentalist credentials. But that doesn’t change the fact that they are playing with fire and multitudes of souls are going to be injured by their folly. Contemporary worship music represents end-time apostasy as nothing else does. It is “another spirit” and it has transformative power. We have documented this extensively in the new eBook The Directory of Contemporary Worship Musicians, which is available for free from the Way of Life web site -- www.wayoflife.org.
