Form guide • Andrej Kramarić’s 14-minute hat-trick on matchday three earned Rijeka a 3-1 win against Feyenoord – their first UEFA Europa League group stage victory, at the ninth attempt. It extended their unbeaten home run in Europe to 11 games (W7 D4), and made it ten games without a UEFA away success for Feyenoord (D1 L9). • The result also ended a run of six games without a win (D1 L5) for Croatian clubs in games against Dutch sides. The Croatian side had failed to score in the five most recent encounters. • Feyenoord have won both of their European home games this season by one-goal margins. • Rijeka have yet to win – or indeed score – in four UEFA Europa League group stage away contests (D1 L3). Trivia and links • Rijeka are one of only four teams left in the competition who entered this season's UEFA Europa League in the second qualifying round, along with FC Krasnodar, FC Dinamo Minsk and Asteras Tripolis FC. • Colin Kazım Richards and defender Joris Mathijsen are the top UEFA club competition scorers in the Feyenoord squad with four goals each. Kramarić is Rijeka's top marksman with eight. The coaches • Feyenoord coach Fred Rutten was a defender for FC Twente, and coached the club in two spells before heading abroad to join FC Schalke 04 in 2008. He returned to the Netherlands the following year and spent nearly three years in charge at PSV Eindhoven and then a season with Vitesse, taking up his current post in March 2014. • Hired in February 2013, Rijeka coach Matjaž Kek led his native Slovenia to the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals. Following closely this process in large organizations is something I like to do in my leisure time. My thesis mentor Jos Bijman asked for my hobbies and he mentioned that there was a possibility to combine my interests in the management strategies of organizations with my main hobby football. The Bachelor Thesis Management strategies of football clubs in the Dutch Eredivisie is executed in a qualitative research, using a literature study.     ZONDAG 26 MEI 2019 - VREDENBURCH LEX IMMERS CUP 3 VOORWOORD VAN LEX IMMERS Toen ik vorig jaar werd gevraagd wat ik er van zou vinden als er een jeugd - toernooi naar mij zou worden vernoemd, ook nog te verspelen bij mijn oude club Vredenburch, was ik meteen enthousiast. Ik had al gehoord van de Lex Schoenmaker Cup en hoe dit toernooi wordt gespeeld, een toernooi naar mij vernoemd en dan ook nog een met jeugdige spelers is natuurlijk geweldig. Een mooie gelegenheid om het talent van de toekomst aan het werk te zien. Fijn om te zien dat ADO Den Haag aanwezig is en dat zij zich kunnen meten met heel veel sterke ploegen. Als je de Lex Immers Cup ziet, dan kun je wel zeggen dat je ergens om strijdt. Alhoewel natuurlijk plezier en sportiviteit voorop staat wil ik alle ploegen heel veel succes wensen. Maak er een onvergetelijk toernooi van met zijn allen en moge de beste ploeg met de enorme beker naar huis gaan. Tot 26 mei! Lex Immers LEX IMMERS CUP 5 BIOGRAFIE LEX IMMERS Lex Immers keerde afgelopen seizoen terug bij ADO Den Haag na omzwervingen bij Feyenoord, Cardiff City en Club Brugge en speelde een fantastisch seizoen bij de club waar hij ook fan van is. Lex speelde in zijn jeugd bij een tweetal regioclubs, KRSV Vredenburch en DSO alvorens op amateurbasis een contract te tekenen bij ADO Den Haaag. Hij maakte zijn debuut op 24 augustus 2007 in de in 2–2 geëindigde uitwedstrijd tegen RKC Waalwijk, toen hij na 74 minuten inviel.

    From being a small boy, I have always been a huge fan of both football and professional wrestling and at around the age of 10-years-old, I came across a monthly magazine brought to newsagents from the makers of the world famous Sports Illustrated all about pro wrestling. It was simply named Pro Wrestling Illustrated. It was a publication I regularly read as well as Shoot and Match weekly magazines to feed my football addiction. In 1991, PWI began this new craze that instantly grabbed my attention more than no other magazine had before. They revealed the 'PWI 500'. The 'PWI 500' section in the magazine listed (in rank order) the top 500 professional wrestlers in the world that year. Counting down from 500, this revealed to me many, many talents that I have not discovered as of yet. This was released every year, and still to this day is the best selling edition of the magazine each year. I studied and read and read over and over again that edition in 1991 and I came up with an idea. What if Match or Shoot revealed the top 500 footballers in the world? Thinking back to 1991, I used to love to tune into the 'BBC Radio 1 Top 40' show every Sunday afternoon too... maybe I'm a tad obsessed with countdowns. Anyways, reflecting on the idea, I thought about it each year the 'PWI 500' was released. As years went on, I felt that this would have grown into a hugely successful plan, gaining great recognition with people in the game, possibly gained its own award ceremony on TV with the emergence and exposure SKY Television in the United Kingdom was just beginning to give to the game back then.
