Although I understand that there have been rules imposed in the past regarding how much space is available I would prefer to rely on common-sense and reason, if at all possible, to reach an equitable solution when the social season approaches. The seat, which I assume was the standard item on its lowest setting, was not only far too close to the footrests for me but it dug into me in a way that my own 2006 model doesn’t. Given that the engine has far more output than earlier models, making the speedometer calibrations much smaller seemed to be a mistake, and the tiny tachometer, whose business end was partially obscured by the optional Garmin Zumo, was even harder to see. I suspect that, with 20 sold by Chester Motorrad the day after it’s release, and other dealers, I was told, selling their allocations just as quickly, I’m in a very small minority in planning to hold onto what I’ve already got.
