EAGLE BASEBALL COACHES ADAM FOSTER Coach Foster is in his 14th year of coaching for GHS and his fourth year as Head Coach. In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Foster works as a Special Education Teacher for the high school. Before coming back to Georgetown, he spent two years as a hitting instructor and infield coach at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. Coach Foster’s duties also included recruiting, scouting, strength and conditioning, and field maintenance. In addition to his coaching duties there, he was an instructor in the Department of Human Perfor- mance, Leisure, and Sport. Before going to Highlands, Coach Foster was an Assistant Coach at West A&M University in Canyon, TX from 1999-2001 and was responsible for instruction of outfielders, strength and conditioning, and recruiting. He was a member of the football program and was also a walk-on to the baseball program. Coach Foster received his Bachelors of Science degree from West Texas A&M University in May 2001. Coach Foster is a product of GHS, playing football, baseball, and running track. He now resides in Georgetown with his wife Christy, son Andrew, and his two daughters Baylie and Samantha.

DUSTIN BRINLEY Coach Brinley returns for his sixth year as an Eagle coach. His primary role is instructing and catchers. Brinley hails from southern California where he graduated from Elsinore High School. After playing at University of Redlands and spending time in the Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League organization, Brinley returned to his high school alma mater as Head Coach — a position he held for ten years. Brinley decided to move his family to Texas, landing in Georgetown in 2006 at Benold Middle School. Since, he has moved to GHS both as a teacher in credit recovery and full time baseball staff member. His family includes his lovely wife Judee, who is a nurse at Austin Heart Hospital, and sons Ryan, Adam, and Jack.

Benjamin GiTTinger Coach Gittinger is beginning his 20th year as a teacher and coach. In addition to coach- ing baseball, he also instructs mathematics. Before coming to Georgetown, Coach Gittinger was previously at Jarrell High School where he helped the Cougars earn a 2AA state championship. He has spent 13 years as a head baseball coach with stops in Bastrop, Austin McCallum, and Del Valle high schools. Coach Gittinger attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio where he attained a degree in Physical Education and Mathematics and was a four-year letterman in baseball. During his time there, the Rattler’s won three conference titles, two regional berths and a trip to the 1993 NAIA World Series. A graduate from Travis High School in Austin, he played basketball and baseball. Coach Gittinger now resides in Hutto with his wife Britney, daughter Abbey, and sons Miles and Evan. EAGLE BASEBALL COACHES

FRANK IBARRA Coach Ibarra is in his 38th year of teaching and coaching. He graduated from Highlands High School in 1968, where he played football, baseball, and ran track. During his senior year the baseball team won the class 4A State Championship. Coach Ibarra graduated with a BS in Health from the University of Texas at Austin. He began his coaching career at Big Spring High School as the head baseball coach and varsity football assistant. While there, his teams compiled a combined record of 98-40. In 1982, he was named the District 5AAAAA Coach of the Year after coaching his team to the district championship. In 1983, Coach Ibarra moved to Georgetown to serve as an assistant for the baseball and football programs. He became the head baseball coach in 1990 and had a record of 92-31. His lifetime record as a head baseball coach is 190-71. Coach Ibarra’s wife, Claudia, recently retired after 37 years of teaching. They have two adult children, Shannon and Kristen.

JORDON VIERRA Jordon Vierra enters his first season with the Georgetown Eagles after spending the summer in the Alaskan Baseball League managing the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks. Vierra joins the Eagles after spending the 2015 season with the Stony Point Tigers as the manager of the Junior Varsity. Prior to his experience at Stony Point, Vierra spent the 2013 season with Louisiana State University Eunice where he assisted in coaching the Bengals to a runner-up finish in the DII World Series. He also spent the 2012 season at Tyler Junior College as an assistant coach. During that season, Vierra helped coach the Apaches to a District Championship and fourth place finish in the DIII NJCAA World Series. As a player, Vierra began his career at Tyler Junior College in 2008 and 2009, where he was a part of a MAC Conference championship as a freshman. In his two years at TJC, Vierra etched his name into several categories of the programs record books, including batting average (twice), at bats, hits, consecutive games hitting streak, and set the program record for sacrifices in a season. In addition, Vierra earned All MAC Conference First Team Honors, runner-up in the conference Most Valuable Player Award voting, was named to the Texas-New Mexico All Star Game East Team, and earned an Associates of Arts Degree in General Studies from the institution. Following his success at Tyler Junior College, Vierra continued his career at the University of Texas at Tyler in 2010 and 2011 where he was a part of back to back ASC Conference championships, a conference tournament championship, and two regional tournament births. Individually, he received ASC Honorable Mention honors as a designated hitter in 2010. Vierra earned his Bachelors of Science degree in History from UT Tyler. Jordon is a 2007 graduate of Georgetown High School was a unanimous All-District third baseman and the MVP of the AABCA All Star Game.
