This letter should help inform you about SUA and the various services that we provide for our visiting teams. The Soka University of America campus offers free parking. No parking permit is required the day of your game/meet. For soccer and track & field teams; bus loading and unloading is available for you at the top of the hill located directly above the track & field and soccer field facility. For swimming teams; your bus may drop you off in front of the Soka University Gymnasium. We ask that after your team is dropped off, if traveling by bus, have that bus proceed to park in parking lot “A” unless directed otherwise by a Soka University security guard. If traveling by vans, you may park in the parking lot B parking structure. For visiting soccer teams, upon you arrival to campus, please call 949) 480-4273 as we will send a recreational center employee to greet you and show you to the visiting team locker room, as well as the athletic training room facility, and answer any other questions you might have. Post-match showers & towels will be provided if requested no later than one week in advance to your scheduled match. During your time at Soka University, our athletic trainers are here to provide the most professional athletic training services to you and your student-athletes. The Athletic Training Room is located within the Soka Gymnasium, Room 136B. If a member of your medical staff will not be traveling with the team, or if you have any special needs, please contact us in advance. If any of your athletes need treatment prior to their competition/game please provide a signed letter from your institution’s Certified Athletic Trainer with the athlete’s name and desired treatment. This letter can be emailed or faxed at the latest, one day prior to competition day. Coach, Men’s Soccer EXT.4169 krazaghi General Information for Visiting Teams Locker Rooms: Locker rooms are located in the Soka University Recreational Gym Facility within the first floor of the Athletic Department. Each team will have a visiting team/meeting room provided to them (excluding tournaments) as long as they have notified the athletic department a minimum of one week in advance of their visit that they would like to utilize the locker rooms. These locker rooms also have dry and wet bathrooms, vanities and showers. Showers and towels will only be provided upon request up to 1 week prior to your competition. Media Relations: The sports information office serves as a link between the Soka University athletes, coaches, administrators and the media. The Sports Information office attempts to provide timely and accurate coverage of Soka Lions events by coordinating interviews, servicing the information needs of a reporter, and by maintaining statistics, photos, and historical records. An electronic copy of statistics will be sent via email to the visiting teams coach(es), sports information director and Conference SID after the conclusion of the game/match/meet. Prohibited Items: There is a no-tolerance alcohol policy at all Soka University athletic events. SUA is dedicated to upholding a high standard of sportsman-like conduct; therefore the use of noisemakers is also prohibited. If these items are seen they will be confiscated; if a person is under the influence of alcohol, they will be escorted off the premises. If the individual(s) are under the age of 21, security will be immediately called. There are no dogs allowed on either the Soka University Track & Field facility and in the Lion’s Den soccer stadium. We ask that all pets remain on the path at the top of the facility entrance at all times. Food Services: The Dining Hall at SUA features a variety of from-scratch entrees at each meal, a full salad bar, made-to order delicacies, deli, full beverage bar, and fresh desserts. Once inside the dining hall, you are entitled to unlimited seconds. The on-campus vendor for such services, Bon Appétit, has vast experience in creating menus or following the dietary requirements of large groups, and can meet with users well in advance of their stay. Capacity inside the dining hall 300, while outdoor dining can seat more than 100 on sunny days. Teams wishing to utilize the Soka Bistro must contact the athletic department 2 weeks in advance Cost Hours (Monday-Friday) Hours (Saturday-Sunday) Breakfast $8.25 7:30am-9:30am 10:30am-12:30pm Lunch $10.25 11:30am-1:30pm 5:00pm-7:00pm Dinner $11.25 5:30pm-7:30pm Lost & Found: If an item is lost and retrieved by our staff it will be kept with our facility operations staff in the recreational center main office until claimed.
