Membership Letter2021 Hyannis Athletic Association Proudly Supporting the January, 2021 Dear Friends: What a year 2020 was- who would have thought that the Cape Cod Baseball League would not play for the first time in so many years? We are hopeful that in the summer of 2021 we will see a baseball season with spectators and are planning for just that! Our roster is being signed, coaches are preparing to work with some of the best collegiate talent our nation has to offer and our volunteers are hard at work getting the field ready for your enjoyment. All of these efforts require time and money. Last year was particularly trying for so many individuals and businesses as they navigated the uncertainty of each passing day. The impact of our national pandemic has been felt far and wide, including within the Hyannis Athletic Association. We are an entirely volunteer run nonprofit organization that was formed to support the Hyannis Harbor Hawks baseball team. Without the revenue from seasonal attendance, merchandise sales, advertising and snack bar sales in 2020, the organization saw a significant decrease in available funds. Please consider becoming a member of our group and making a donation to help fund our various needs. Your membership will defray the cost of uniforms, equipment, supplies and transportation for our players while they showcase their tremendous talent in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League. Now more than ever we need your support as we put behind us a year without any baseball and look towards a new chapter in Harbor Hawk history. Help us keep our longstanding baseball tradition afloat. Donations can be mailed to Hyannis Athletic Association using the address below, or you can donate at our website: www.harborhawks.org by clicking the PayPal button. We need you to help us create this new chapter by joining our team and making a donation today! Thank you in advance for your generosity and commitment to the Hyannis Athletic Association. We look forward to sharing warm summer nights and the return of baseball to our beloved McKeon Park with all of you. Sincerely yours, Brad Pfeifer PO BOX 832 WEST HYANNISPORT, MA 02672 WWW.HARBORHAWKS.ORG.

Cape Cod Baseball League Teams Up with Pierce‐Cote/Regan Communications Group Contact: Sean Gonsalves, Regan Communications (508) 420‐5566 ext. 118 (w) 617‐308‐8393 (c) [email protected] Cape Cod, MA – Pierce‐Cote/Regan Communications Group (PC/RCG) has a new teammate. The Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) – the nation’s premier summer collegiate baseball league – has retained the services of the premier integrated marketing communications firm in the region to assist the CCBL in elevating the league’s baseball brand. “This is a match made on a field of dreams. We’ve long been recognized as the league where fans can see the stars of tomorrow play today,” said CCBL President Chuck Sturtevant. “Bringing a power‐house like Pierce‐Cote/Regan Communications on board will help us extend the reach of our unique brand of baseball and all that it offers players and fans alike.” With one out of every six current Major League Baseball players among CCBL alumni, the league is as strong as it has ever been. However, with the emergence of other summer leagues, the advent of social media, and a rapidly changing media landscape, CCBL does not intend to rest on its laurels. “Since our founding in 1885, the Cape League has relied on the commitment of a mostly volunteer staff to handle all of the administrative and communications work. We remain confident in the product we offer, but in this day and age we have to work harder than ever to keep the Cape League at the forefront of amateur baseball for generations to come,” Sturtevant said.

There is only one Cape Cod in all the world. Cape Cod. Warm sea breezes, 559.6 miles (900 km) of unspoiled coastline and breathtaking scenic vistas. Generations of families return year after year to reclaim memories of sandcastles, flip flops and fried clams. Others come for the world’s finest beaches or to explore a region steeped in history, arts and culture. Enjoy 15 distinctive towns, exquisite gardens, quaint shops, New England’s best golf, fine dining, superior accommodations and an array of land & sea activities. Location & History Cape Cod is situated less than 2 hours from Boston in Southern New England, at the southeast corner of Massachusetts, stretching approximately 70 miles (112 km) from the Cape Cod Canal to Provincetown’s Race Point. The Cape is 20 miles (32 km) at its widest point and completely surrounded by water. Countless historic sites and landmarks tell the proud role that Cape Cod has played in American history, beginning with the indigenous Wampanoag people and the landfall of the Mayflower in Provincetown in 1620, to the Camelot Days of JFK, as celebrated at the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum. The homes of long-ago sea captains dot the Old King’s Highway, the largest contiguous historic district in the United States. Historic lighthouses have lined Cape shorelines for centuries. The John F. Kennedy Museum in Hyannis celebrates the life and times of President Kennedy and his family on Cape Cod. And, at the tip of the Cape, Provincetown proclaims its living history as an artist’s colony and fishing village, including the renown Provincetown Art Association and Museum.
