We encourage third and fourth years, graduate and professional students, and area alumni to attend those sessions on the UK Awards, Foreign Service Awards, Asia Awards, NSF GRFP, and the Fulbright US Student Award this spring. This Week in Black History Did you know? In 2019, Brehanna Daniels is the first African-American woman to become a Nascar pit crew member. At the Dover International Speedway race held in June 2017, Daniels became the first African American woman to pit a vehicle in a national NASCAR series race. Daniels changed tires in the ARCA, Xfinity, and Camping World Truck series. The February of 2018, during the , Daniels worked for driver Stephen Leicht, and has been working with JP Motorsports. She aspires to one day be a part of a NASCAR Cup winning team.
