TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS IN , MANSTON, , AND

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads in Sturminster Newton, Manston, Marnhull, Hinton St Mary and Stour Provost as listed;

Sturminster Newton, Manston and Hinton St Mary

(a) B3091 Rixon Hill & Manston Road from junction with Rixon Close, Sturminster Newton to Higher Farm, Marnston, (b) B3092 from outside the property Staddles, B3092 Bath Road to approximately 170 metres north of Hingston Approach.

Marnhull

(a) Access Road to Yardgrove Farm from the junction with Cox Hill. (b) Mowes Lane from junction with Cox Hill to B3092 Walton Elm Hill. (c) Bat Alley from the junction with Cox Hill. (d) Kentisworth Road from the junction with New Street. (e) Goddards from the junction with New Street. (f) B3092 Crown Road from 100 metres to the west of the entrance to Longonot to Salisbury Street. (g) B3092 Salisbury Street from Crown Road to the junction with Red Lane. (h) Flanders Close from the junction with Ashley Road. (i) Carent Close from the junction with Ashley Road. (j) Barnes Close from the junction with Ashley Road. (k) Phillips Road from the junction with Ashley Road to the junction with Church Hill. (l) Hardy Close from the junction with Phillips Road. (m) Ashely Road from its junction with Phillips Road Lane to the junction with Sodom Lane. (n) Pilwell from the junction with Church Hill to Sodom Lane. (o) Sodom Lane from Pilwell to the junction with B3092 Salisbury Street. (p) Hindgaston Approach Road from the junction of B3092 Schoolhouse Lane, Marnhull. (q) Tanzey Lane from B3092 Salisbury Street to The Junction With Sodom Lane. (r) Plowman Close from the junction with Nash Lane. (s) Nash Lane from the junction with Sodom Lane to the junction with Love Lane. (t) Great Down Lane from the junction with Nash Lane to the junction with B3092 Main Road. (u) Musbury Lane from the junction with Hains Lane to the junction with Mill Lane. (v) Burges Close from the junction with Musbury Lane. (w) Lovells Mead from the junction with Burton Street. (x) Rams Hill from the junction with B3091 to the junction with White Way Lane Marnhull.

Stour Provost

(a) Butts Lane from the junction with B3092 to the junction with Mill Lane. (b) Mill Lane from junction with Mill Lane. (c) The Street from the junction with Mill Lane. (d) Church Lane from the junction with The Street to the junction B3092.

Clearways, indicated by signs on site, will be imposed on each road to prevent waiting or parking on the highway or verge in these locations. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986

The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 26th May 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 7th August 2020. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road in advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the road. Even though the dates above coincide, only one road will be closed at any one time.

This order will enable Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

Locally signed diversion routes will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
