Dr. Cynthia Warrick is a visionary leader with accom- plishments in business start-ups, management, government policy and legal affairs. She ventured into higher education 16 years ago serving in multi-faceted leadership roles as an adminis- trator, public servant, healthcare professional, environmental research scientist, faculty member, and accreditation reviewer.

She serves as Senior Fellow for the Center for Minority Health Services Research at ’s College of Pharmacy, a position she has held since 2009. Prior to her interim presidential appointment at Grambling State University, Warrick served as interim president at South Carolina State University (2012- 2013) where she prevented the closure of a major academic program threatening the degrees of over 200 professional nursing students. She successfully lobbied the South Carolina legislature to increase university funding and improve the institution’s public relations in the wake of negative publicity and established key agency and private sector partnerships.

She also served as Dean and Chief Research Officer and Tenured full professor of Pharmacy (2006-2011) at Elizabeth City State University in ; associate professor and director of environmental and occupational health at Florida A&M University and assistant pro- fessor in the Division of Management, Policy & Community Health at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston.

Warrick earned a doctoral degree in environmental science and public policy at George Mason University, a master’s degree in public policy from Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Howard University.

Patricia Cage Bibbs has more than 30 years of experience coaching women’s basketball at the collegiate level. She became the 51st NCAA Division I Head coach to join the 500 Victory Club and first head coach to win all 500 games at a NCAA Division I Historically Black Colleges and University.

Bibbs began her career as a health and physical education instruc- tor and head basketball coach at Ruston High School. In 1977, Bibbs became the high school coach at Dubach High School where she won the Louisiana High School Class B State Championship and set the Louisiana High School Record for most points scored for both single and tournament games. She joined the Grambling coaching staff as the assistant women’s basketball coach and head women’s softball coach and senior women’s administrator in 1983. In 1984, Bibbs became the head women’s basketball coach where she won over 200 victories and seven Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships and was honored as the Southwestern Athletic Conference Coach of the Year seven times. In 1991, she was named Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Women’s Athletics. Under her tutelage, the women’s program flourished with four Southwestern Athletics Conference Commissioner’s Cups which included nine championships from the women’s sports. Bibbs was the first Grambling State University Coach to take a team to the NCAA Division I postseason tour- nament. She was the first NCAA Women’s Basketball Coach to go undefeated in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Regular Season in 1997.

She served as the women’s head basketball coach at Hampton University (1997-2004), where she was the first Hampton University men’s or women’s coach to take a team to the NCAA Division I Post-Season Tournament. Bibbs won 127 games in seven seasons as the Hampton’s University head coach. At Hampton, she won three tournament championships and two regular season championships.

Bibbs was also head women’s basketball coach at North Carolina A&T State University (2005-2012). During her tenure at North Carolina A&T she lead the team to a 130-88 overall record, three Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) regular season championships and a MEAC Tournament champion- ship. She was named Coach of the Year four times. Bibbs was the first coach in HBCU men or women’s history to earn consecutive wins in postseason tournament.

She returned to Grambling in the spring of 2012 as head women’s basketball coach. Bibbs received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education and Master of Science in Sports Administration from Grambling State University. Bibbs has numerous honors including Southwestern Athletic Conference Alumni Association Lifetime Achievement Award, National Associa- tion for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education Distinguished Alumni Award, Inducted into the Grambling State University Sports Hall of Fame, and the Grambling Legends Sports Hall of Fame.

KENDRICK NORD TIGHT ENDS

Kendrick Nord, a former starting quarterback for GSU, enters his first year as the Tigers’ tight ends coach for the 2014 season.

Nord’s playing experience included a standout career here at Grambling State before a professional career with Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens (NFL), Hamilton Tiger-Cat (CFL), Iowa Barnstormers and New York Dragons (AFL) and RheinFire (NFLE). Kendrick was a three year starter for Grambling State from 1993-1995. Nord made a rewarding debut during his sophomore season passing for 1,987 yard and 16 touchdowns. He was named SWAC Newcomer of the Year and broke Doug Williams’ sophomore record. During his junior year, he broke Doug Williams’ record again with 3,017 yards. That same year, Kendrick played in one of the most exciting Grambling football games in the history of the program – Grambling vs. Alcorn State. He passed for 485 yards and seven touchdowns in that game. Nord went on to claim 2nd Team All-SWAC, 1st Team All-Louisiana, Louisiana Player of the Year and was also named All American. In high school, Nord played football and basketball. He was All Metro – 1st Team, All State and All County. He passed for over 7,000 yards and threw 60 touchdowns during his career. He was highly recruited coming out of high school.

Kendrick is a native of Mobile, AL and has three daughters,Keeyada 20, Rayven 15 and Nia 6. TERRENCE GRAVES LINEBACKERS AND SPECIAL TEAMS

Terrence Graves comes to Grambling State University after spending four years at Mississippi Valley State University as an Assistant Head Coach and Linebackers Coach. Prior to arriving at GSU, Graves recently served as Interim Head Football Coach at Mississippi Valley State University. Coach Graves will be responsible for coaching the linebackers for the G-Men and coordinating all special teams. Graves spent 15 years as a member of the Southern University Jaguars in Baton Rouge. While at SU, he served as linebackers coach and a stint as the program’s defensive coordinator. Graves is back working under Pete Richardson where he was began his coaching career on the coaching staff in 1994. He was the co-defensive coordinator from 2000-2002. He served as the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach at Norfolk State in 2003, where he coached All MEAC 1st Team and FCS All-American Kevin Talley, who set and still holds the NCAA record in tackles in a single season with 195. Graves also served as the linebackers coach, and recruiting coordinator during his last five seasons on the bluff. He was also the special teams coordinator from 1997-2000, and a graduate assistant who worked with the defensive ends in 1994. Southern won three Southwestern Athletic Conference titles and three Black College national championships during Graves’ tenure. Southern also had the SWAC’s second-best pass defense (180.5 yards per game) in 2002 and led the league in total defense and scoring defense in 2001. Graves was a standout defensive back at Winston-Salem State in the early 1990s. He was a first-team All-CIAA performer in 1992, when led the team, was second in the conference and fifth nationally in Division II in interceptions. Graves, who was a part of two conference championship teams at WSSU, earned his bachelor’s in political science in 1994. He is an active member of the Coaches Association. Graves is also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. A native of Norfolk, VA., Graves has one daughter, China as well as two grandchildren. Graves is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Social Science at GSU. nathaniel brown defensive backs

Nathaniel Brown, coming to Grambling from Millsaps College, Brown Headed the Wide Receivers and was the pass Game Coordinator where he led them to a Top 25 finish in the D-II rankings and SAA Conference championship. While at Millsaps, Brown was over one of the top Punt Return squads in D-III which found themselves in the Top 10 in the nation through the first 7 weeks of regular season. Within his position group, he groomed 3 All-Conference WRs with on garnering SAA Player of the week Honors after hauling in 10 catches for 152 yards and 2 TDs. 2012: Defensive Graduate assistant under current Defen- sive Coordinator Everett Todd at the University of Louisiana- Monroe. As a graduate assistant, Brown was responsible for the execution of the game plans for all Warhawk practices and helped lead the Warhawks to their first ever 8-win season and bowl appearance landing them in the Advocare V100 Independence Bowl. He also assisted with the Defensive Secondary and Linebackers during the season and Practice.
