SEPTA SEPTA will be taking photos for their new SEPTA Senior Key Photo ID cards, which allow Pennsylvanians age 65 and older to ride free on SEPTA buses, trolleys, and subways, and travel on regional rail lines in Pennsylvania for just $1. To apply for a new, swipeable Senior Key card at the Senior Fair, be sure to bring a state-issued ID with proof of your birthdate (such as a photo driver’s license, Pennsylvania non-driver’s photo ID, birth certificate, or passport) with you.

If the line for this service during the Senior Fair is too long or if you cannot attend on September 1st, simply stop by my district office. My staff there can process applications any weekday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds’ Office Jeanne Sorg, the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds, will be taking photos and supplying honorably discharged veterans with their Veterans’ Photo ID Discount Card, which entitles vets who reside in Montgomery County to receive discounts at nearly 500 establishments county-wide. To receive a card, you must bring a copy of your discharge papers (a DD214 or DD256) and a valid photo ID with proof of your address, such as a driver’s license or passport.

Montgomery County Treasurer’s Office The Montgomery County Treasurer’s Office will havedog license applications for both annual and lifetime licenses on hand. In order to apply for a lifetime dog license, you need proof that your dog is tattooed or microchipped with a veterinarian’s signature on a form supplied by the Treasurer’s Office. Forms and fees are online athttp://www.montcopa. org/1790/Dog-Licenses or you can call (610) 278-3070 for more information. The Treasurer’s Office accepts only cash or checks for dog licensing fees.

Flu Shots Some vendors may be offering flu shots with proof of insurance. Please be sure to bring along an insurance card or Medicare card.
