Minutes: Principal Jenkins: We have so much going on, of course as hopefully the community and everybody knows, we are opening with a distance plan. My teachers have been hard at work learning the platforms and the stuff that we will need to do. It is very different than how we ended last school year. So lots of tears, sweat, preparing, getting ready, but we will be ready. We are excited for the kids to come back more than anything, to be able to start at least this way to start our school year. I think that has been the hardest and most frustrating part for not only my teachers but my community as well, that wait a minute we should be back in. I got to tell you, last Friday when we normally would have had my open house, I was lost, normally I would have that all put together and ready to go. Anyway just so you are aware as a CEAB board we are of course opening that model. Right now we are working very diligently to get devices out to all of our students and make sure that they have connectivity and are able to access and get online. We will be having a couple of orientation meetings next week for parents, will be invited to Google meetings to ask their questions, to get the general information about the school. On next Friday, the 21st, we will have a virtual open house where parents and students will be logging in with their teachers to figure out more information. Our calendars and schedules have been approved, so that is one of the biggest questions I think out there that I am excited to finally have the approval to put out to the community and to our students and parents, what it looks like. So, we are not expecting kids to be on a computer for six hours and 11 minutes. They have live sessions where they will attend with their teachers that are also all recorded, so if that does not work with a family schedule, they can get on at any time after that. It is not an expectation that they are coming to each one of those, but every grade level has a similar schedule and a similar plan of three or four times that they will have a live session for the students and parents to get on and communicate with the teacher, instruction will be given, clarification, being able to teach from that platform, but again each of those live sessions are recorded. They will be posted through Canvas for all the parents and that is what we have got to train our community on, is getting onto those Canvas sites and being able to see the teacher's page and platform and all the links from there to get into those recordings. I am excited about that point because so often, talking to one of my families, she has six children, she is like how am I going to do this for all of that, but having the ability of a parent who has to go to work, who is not home maybe monitoring that and checks in with their child when they get home, can go back in and revisit what that lesson was.
