Five players were drafted inside the 33rd selection and within the second round of the draft. Here is a summary of the boys who were drafted.

Liam Duggan completed his second year in the AFL/AIS Academy squad in 2014 winning the Ben Allen Medal being recognised by his peers as the most professional athlete in the group. Duggan also played in the Vic Metro U/18 National Championship side. He finished second in the Western Jets Barry Round Medal count and possesses outstanding lead- ership skills. He played his junior football at the Bac- chus Marsh Football Club and was very prominent for St Pat’s College. Liam was drafted to at pick 11. Congratulations Liam!

Corey Ellis’ final year was unfortunately punctuat- ed with injury. However, he still managed to rep- resent the state in the National Championships and be selected in the TAC Cup Team of the Year. Ellis is an exceptional talent, an outstanding kick and excellent decision maker. One of his best at- tributes is his ball winning ability. Corey was drafted to the with pick 12. He played his junior football at the Keilor Foot- ball Club and also commenced his footy at the Western Jets at the Victorian University Skill Ac- quisition U/15 age level. Congratulations Corey!

Jayden Laverde was drafted to the Essendon Foot- ball Club with pick number 20 in the 2014 AFL National Draft. Jayden has had a terrific season representing Vic Metro in the AFL National U/18 Champions and was selected in the 2014 U/18 All Australian team.
